The staff here in Hilo have been awesome. We had to reschedule twice (unfortunately, there are no weather control machines yet) but the third try was a success! So glad the weather participated on our third attempt to go up. All of the staff were great! Jenn & Rowena at the front desk recognized us and even greeted us by name each time we returned to "try flying again". They were super helpful and made each rescheduling a breeze. Erik was great and was able to answer our questions about other adventures we had wanted to do. I found that very helpful, and since our flight was rescheduled, it allowed us to still have a fun-filled day doing other adventures. Our pilot Sean though... he was top notch!!! Not only was it a smooth flight, but he was able to answer all of our questions. From take off to landing, we had an amazing flight. Couldn't have asked for a better time. Look forward to flying again with Blue Hawaiian and hopefully Sean again! As a local, I'll be recommending this to my friends and family.

BHHT is an efficiently run business and appeared to be very safety conscience. We were sold the higher end Eco tour by a resort concierge and to us, it was not worth the extra cost. We were told the back seats were elevated and you could see 180 degrees very well. For balance, we were put in the back (even though we requested the front), but you could not see over the high back front seats. We were told to wear dark clothes to lessen reflection in pictures, and we did. The pilot wore a bright red shirt and the red reflection was in my pictures. We were told we would see valleys and we saw one on Maui. It was an awesome valley, but on a good weather day, we did not go into a second valley. So, the advertising of plural valleys failed on our trip. Overall, what you see is beautiful. It seemed quite short and disappointing after seeing the company videos. No one was in the reception room when we returned so we could not purchase the inflight video.

We took a 2-hour tour of the "Big Island" and had a wonderful time. Our pilot, Chase, was very knowledgable and engaged with each person on the flight. The company also offers a reasonably priced video that is taken during your tour.

Captain Shay was great, very informative!! The staff was very nice and professional. Loved everything about our trip. I highly recommend Blue Hawaiian Helicopter Tours!!
