Our pilot, Beth, was fabulous and knowledgeable. Weather was perfect with very few bumps! Not too many clouds. Cater was great and coast was amazing.
We took the lava tour out of Hilo.....at 5pm........ground crew was organized....the pilot was cordial and knowledgeable of our surroundings as we flew up to the lava field....the cabin on board was fully enclosed as others I observed while waiting to board were open cabin.....we flew up to the waterfalls first then over to the volcano...there were 3 points of lava interest......the open cone near the top of the volcano.....the flow headed down towards the sea, and then the lava spilling into the ocean......we wore headsets to hear the pilots plus had microphones to ask questions and converse with pilot all and all an awesome trip..........kids loved it....13 yrs and 17 yrs old
Fantastic tour! Although it may seem a bit pricy, but having flown multiple different helicopter tours before, this is easily the best tour we've been on by far. The views of the lava and ocean were simply outstanding. Our pilot Carl was outgoing and knowledgeable, and made the tour ten times better than it already was. We drove here from Kona two hours away, but the trip was worth it.
I booked Blue Hawaiian Helicopters' "Blue Skies of Oahu" helicopter tour through the hotel concierge. We rode in one of those newer "eco-star" choppers. If you don't care about taking pictures, then sitting anywhere would be fine. But if you're the type that likes to take a lot of pictures THE ONLY GOOD SEAT WOULD BE A FRONT SEAT. I don't care what they say about having a great view regardless of where you sit. It's just not true. How would you like to snap a picture but at the last minute the hand of the guy sitting in front suddenly goes up and you get a picture of his hand instead of the view you wanted? It happened several times. It's annoying! Don't get me wrong - the staff was excellent and the safety briefing they gave was excellent. I also sat beside the window - but it's not the same as sitting in front.
Amazing tour, Waikiki Beach, Diamond Crater, Hanauma Bay,Makapuu point, east coast beaches, Jurassic Valley, north shore beaches including Sunset and Banzai Tunnel and the icing on the cake of Pearl Harbour. Great great views that you can only see from the helicopter
Finished a flight around Kauai and Blue Hawaiin have delivered again!! Went with them last year on Big Island and just as good-would not look anywhere else if I get the chance again-these guys are jus good! Very professional, safety conscious and customer focussed. Pilot Beth was outstanding and gave a great guided tour. You have to buy the video-none of your pictures or videos are as good as the video. Mahalo Blue Hawaiin....
Great experience! Helicopter is state of the art and very comfortable. I sat in the middle seat in the back but didn't feel cheated for views. I loved the music in the headphones as we flew. It was breathtaking! Gregg was our tour guide and he was fabulous! Thanks for a memory that we will take with us from gorgeous Kauia!
Fantastic, beautiful, awe-inspiring! Pilot Adolf was informative and easily approachable. Totally worth it. Best last day of our trip!
Just phenomenal. Loved every minute.
Marty was amazing
Marty was awesome and very educational and we learned a lot.
Why is the sand yellow? BECAUSE THE SEA-WEED. Thanks Carl for a great ride and awesome company. It was very pretty and I would love to do it again someday. -Orielle (the 11 (14) year old girl with all the questions.) hahaha
Best experience I have ever had! Having never been in a helicopter I was a little nervous but Brant was an excellent pilot and very knowledgeable. I would highly recommend Blue Hawaiian.
Great trip...saw lots of lave...Jason was a wonderful pilot and tour guide.
Patrick was very knowledgeable of the island and knew great history on the volcano. He did great flying and making sure that everyone in the helicopter was feeling ok and being able to see everything. Great opportunity for photo opportunities. Great overall experience!! Thanks Patrick! Justin and Kent Bratton
