Our group of 4 chose Blue Hawaiian Helicopters for a number of reasons, and our experience exceeded our expectations! It was certainly one of the highlights of our 2-week trip. We opted for the 2-hour Big Island Spectacular package, with the optional waterfall landing (extra cost, but worth every penny). Our pilot Chase was incredible. He was informative and conversational, and his soothing voice was a good match for the smooth ride and picture-perfect views. While it was rainy and cloudy while we hovered over Kilauea's caldera, he was able to find a gap in the clouds large enough for all to get a good view of the orange lava within. He spent several minutes, positioning and repositioning the aircraft so we could all get good views and photos. He also found some active lava flows near the ocean and entering the ocean, and again gave us ample time to view and photograph these wonders. And then there were waterfalls -- too many to count. Falls you can only see from the air. And landing at the base of Punalulu Falls was fantastic. We had 20 minutes of exclusive time there, and it felt special. We reserved our flight only a couple of days in advance, as we wanted to ensure that we were selecting the right company, the right dates/times, the best weather forecast and the right tour. Their location in Waikoloa was very close to our resort condo which made it very convenient to take the 7a flight. We highly recommend Blue Hawaiian Helicopters and especially Chase! If you are trying to decide what to do, spend the extra cost for the waterfall landing, you won't be disappointed.

Just got off of the helicopter-Scotty took us up. I was worried about motion sickness, but one Dramamine last night, one this morning and a light breakfast as suggested, and it just felt like a fun ride soaring around the island. More than once just the incredible beauty touched me to tears. Before we even touched back down, my little nephew's words popped into my head-"Again! Again!" Loved it-DO NOT hesitate to do this-you'll never see Hawaii like this, nor will you ever forget.

Carl gave us the best tour, and we were blown away for seeing lava as much as we have done :D So, so pleased we booked with you and would recommend as well worth the money spent. Truly an experience of a lifetime. I never wanted it to end I'm still grinning ;D))))))))

Brodi was amazing. He made sure everyone got great views of the tour but also gave us the history and explained what we were seeing. He took us to my favorite spot the crater which is the most breathtaking place I have ever been to. I flew earlier this year and it still got me emotional again being able to see it and fly in. Best tour ever

Bodi was amazing. We appreciated how detailed he was when talking about all of the locations we visited. He took extra time at each location to ensure we all had a good vantage point. Highly recommend - Thanks Bodi!!

Amazing!!! Brody was a great pilot who made us feel welcome and comfortable for the ride. He even remembered all of the guests names, which was very impressive. His knowledge of the island was unbeatable to anyone as he was born and raised here on the island of Kaua'i, we will forever remember this tour and cannot wait to come back to do it again! Great pilot and ground staff. Tour was very comprehensive and interesting. Scenery spectacular. Really pleased we took the time to do this, not everyday you see a live volcano.
