We don't do "touristy" things on vacation. We love to hike and do things on our own. That being said, we made the trip to Kauai for the Na Pali coast. We had hiked the Kalaulau trail and it was fantastic. As a surprise, my husband booked this Blue Hawaii copter tour. THE SCENERY IS SO UNBELIEVABLE. IT IS SO DRAMATIC, SO CLOSE UP, SO SURREAL COLORS from the helicopter. I cried the entire time...not from fear but from emotion. one of the best things we've ever done on vacation. Right up their with hiking the Cinque Terre in Italy.

Blue Hawaiian is the best company for heli rides. Professional and new choppers. Great staff. Kauai is best seen from the sky, so this is a MUST. Try to go in the morning as usually by 11 AM clouds are rising on Kauai. After your flight for $40 you can buy a video tape of the entire trip which is worth it so you can relax and enjoy the ride and don't have to worry about taking pictures during the ride, highly recommend that option.

So very glad my husband and I took the Big Island Spectacular (two-hour) Tour! We made our own reservations, but used the HOLO-HOLO discount to purchase tour! Our tour was scheduled for 7:00A.M. on Tuesday, September 5! Mahalo to the entire STAFF for their courtesy, organization, and professionalism. We appreciated the tour video, but more importantly, the safety video and attention to detail both getting on/off the helicopter. GREG is the best pilot!! He is a skilled pilot - personable, engaging, and knowledgeable! Enjoyed his narration during the tour. His passion and enthusiasm for his job and the amazing, magnificent, spectacular sights we viewed were contagious!!! He repeated maneuvers which provided us the best views of the incredible newest lava flows at Kilauea, Pu'o O'o vent, and East Rift Zone out into the ocean!!!! No words, really...brought to tears...during our flight through the valleys along the Kohala Coast...many breathtaking waterfalls...spiritual experience. My husband took photos during the tour, but the best souvenir of the tour was the in-flight video we purchased!!! HIghly recommend Blue Hawaii for tours in Big Island!!

As we hovered over active volcanos and soared over lush pastures our pilot played fun, dramatic music to underscore our high flying adventure! Awesome experience! Worth the money! We'll Be Back!

Our second time flying with Blue Hawaiin! I highly recommend the entire island tour with a lovely stop on Haleakala! This was beyond compare. I will watch the video a million times. Thanks Rick for an amazing experience!!!!

Amazing tour with a very personalized touch from Captain Carl who used our names in his commentary and handpicked the music. Saw the lava flowing into the ocean, skylight peep holes in to the lava tubes and pristine waterfalls. Highlight of our 3 weeks in Hawaii so far. A must-do for first-time or returning visitors! Thankyou.

Nachdem man Kauai (zum Glück) nur partiell mit dem Auto erschließen kann und für all die schönen Trails leider nicht genügend Zeit vorhanden war, ist dies der beste Weg um die Insel in all ihrer Schönheit zu erkunden. Großes Lob an Blue Hawaiian, die wirklich eine perfekte Organisation des Fluges hinbekommen. Da fühlt man sich wirklich gut aufgehoben und (nicht ganz unwichtig) sicher. Noch größeres Lob an unsere Pilotin Beth, die das wirklich ganz hervorragend gemacht hat. Wir hatten zwar unsere Sitze hinten im Hubschrauber, aber das ist bei diesem Modell kein wirklicher Nachteil und Beth hat dafür gesorgt, dass wirklich alle etwas sehen konnten. Mein Tip für Besucher: - Die Kamera bzw. das Smartphone mal zur Seite legen und den Flug genießen. Die Fotos werden sowieso nur begrenzt gut. Die Eindrücke kann einen keiner nehmen. - Die Filmaufnahme die man direkt nach dem Flug kaufen kann, weil da ist eigentlich alles dokumentiert ist. Mein Hinweis an Blue Hawaiian: Es gibt mittlerweile bessere Kameras. Da geht noch ein bisschen. In Summe: Unbedingt das Geld wert, aber auf Coupons/Sonderangebote achten.

My husband and I went on this tour during our honeymoon. I loved seeing the mountains and the amazing views. Our pilot was very nice and had a lot of experience flying helicopters. He showed us his favorite spots on Kauai and had lots of interesting facts about each spot. It was very $$$ but i would recommend it to people who want to see the birds eye view of Kauai
