I was a little nervous about taking a helicopter ride over the mountains., but fear not!! This company believes in safety big time! When you check in, you are required to weigh in and they assign you a seat based on your weight. You are required to watch a movie on safety and things to know... You are assigned a number which is a seat location. When you go out to the flight deck, you stand on that number. Then a staff member comes and gets you and takes you to that seat and makes sure you are buckled in. They want to make sure you are buckled in correctly. All the pilots are either past military with helicopter experience or civilians with a ton of hours flying helicopters. Every night the rotors are taken off and the helicopters are inspected. Oh yes, and BTW , the views are spectacular!! The helos are equipped with several cameras and you will have an opportunity to purchase a thumb drive with your ride on it. And of course there are other items for sale. Our cost for the ride was 299.00 per person, but that included transportation to and from the cruise ship.

My husband and I booked the Big Island Spectacular while in Kona. It was the BEST trip we did on our visit to the Hawaiian Islands. Our pilot, Melinda, was fantastic. She was a great tour guide and the flight was smooth. We enjoyed the circling around the main attractions so everyone could get a great view from their seat. Flying into the Waimanu Valley was the coolest. What a beautiful site of the waterfalls and hills. We can't say enough about this trip and we would do it again. Thanks Melinda and all the wonderful ground crew!

Best thing we did on this trip. Eli was our pilot. Fantastic job keeping us informed and telling us about the island. I was nervous about flying in a helicopter..but my fears were unfounded. Great time seeing the Big Island. The volcanoes, waterfalls and valley views were awesome

A very professional company. We were lucky to have great weather and actually saw some lava in the Pu'o'o crater. The pilot circled the good views in 2 different directions so everyone had great opportunities for photos from both sides of the helicopter so no-one missed out. Unfortunately the circling also made many people feel sick so wish I had taken some travel sick medication beforehand. Look to the horizon to feel better!

Our Pilot, Karl was wonderful and was able to answer every question that we had. The flight was smooth and took us all over the island while providing valuable information about the island of Hawaii.
