I am beyond happy that we took the plunge to do this. We booked through our hotel and lemme say... it ain't cheap!!! But if you save up to do anything here... it's this! Beyond worth every penny!! We booked the volcano and waterfall tour. From the beautiful drive, arriving at Hilo airport, parking and check-in... couldn't have been less stress free. The staff is super friendly!! They do weigh you, so no point fudging. If you've eaten too many cookies lately, be honest! They will find out, ha! There is an extra charge for over a certain weight. No bags allowed, they will lock them up for free. Our pilot was pat, and he was awesome!! Very fun, made sure to tell us what we were seeing, where and what to look for. Seemed to thoroughly enjoy this! Now, to the flight. My goodness...i just can't put into words what it's like to be flying over a volcano, seeing lava flow, the pure majesty of it is overwhelming. Pat made sure to take his time, communicate with us what we wanted to see and make it memorable! The waterfalls are spectacular as well. You are not going to see any of these things unless you're in the air. We will definitely do this again!! A top notch company that assures moments you'll never forget!! They offer several different copters and sites. Ours offered a USB flash drive for us to keep of the whole flight, $40, totally worth it!! We can show all our family and friends what we saw. The gift shop has cool souvenirs and priced great! Be sure to bring cash to tip your pilot! Can't wait to go back!

We've done several helicopter tours in Hawaii - and this is one of the best! We felt VERY safe, cared for, etc. Outstanding pilot provides running commentary and engages guests. We happily picked a day just after a rain and the canyon was ALIVE with waterfalls! Mesmerizing! One of our party wanted to do a "doors off" helicopter ride and I talked him into this because it allowed us to get closer to the waterfalls and was so much more comfortable. It is a lot of money so choose wisely!

We were 6 people on this trip and were split up, men in one and women in the other, (because of the total weight), which was o.k. This helicopter trip was just AMAZING!!! the breath taking views, the knowledge of the pilots was just unbelievable. I recommend this trip to everyone I talk to about our trip to Hawaii.

Our pilot did a good job making sure each side of the copter got a great view of the lava flows. We were in the eco star and it was comfortable and had big windows so no one had a bad view. Would recommend this tour but book through a website like travelocity if you want to save money. The Blue Hawaiian website does not offer any discounts and you can get a good deal thru Travelocity's website.

Probably one of the best things I have done in 40+ years on this planet. Phenomenonal ride over spectacular volcanoes and waterfalls. We were all very excited to see molten lava and not being a dare devil or lover of heights I was surprised at how relaxing and peaceful it was up there. Very euphoric feeling. We're all hooked!

My kids and I went on a tour of Oahu. 14, 12, two 10 and a 3 year old all had a great time. One kiddo had a bit of motion sickness but the pilot told him to keep his eyed on the horizon and he felt better. Blue Hawaiian helicopters staff was very nice and I appreciated all their help.

Brody was excellent. He made the tour very personalized and we all could tell that he really cared about our experience during the tour. Amazing pilot and tour guide!

Brody was our pilot today and he did an AMAZING job! He was so informative and what a great experience this was. I will definitely recommend Blue Hawaiiann because of such a great tour Brody gave us today! Blair and I both LOVED it and appreciate the safe flight! We will remember this day forever, thanks again Brody.

I loved this helicopter ride! Our pilot, Brody was very knowledgeable of the island as well as personal in sharing his family's history on the island. It was interesting to meet Brody who was able to share from the air a lot of the locations we have had experiences with over the past 4 years we have been coming to Kauai.
