100% must do, and worth every cent! Absolutely stunning views of the entire island that you just can't get from the ground. Our pilot Barrett was very laid back, funny and informative. Aircraft was clean, spacious and comfortable with huge windows. Seated 6 people. Blue Hawaiian was a good choice because of their eco friendly helicopters(less noise and pollution than other companies) and professionalism - they are clearly a step above the others. Will do again!
Aloha !! I took a helicopter tour with Blue Hawaiian from Lihue on 10/5/17. Scott H was our pilot. The tour was pretty comprehensive. First they gave us a safety introduction film. They were professional as well as friendly. We got into the helicopter was was pretty nice, modern and roomy. Scott H flew us to many of the places you'd want to see, including to the original crater that formed Kawaii. He explained why the ground was red (not giving that one away), and saw the grand canyon of the island. So many waterfalls. Scott H was calm, friendly, informative and an EXCELLENT pilot. I highly recommend Scott H and Blue Hawaiian. They have 4 cameras in and around the helicopter to record inside and outside during the flight. I picked up a flash drive after the flight with our video on it. You have to pay for it, but it didn't break the bank... hey, you are a tourist, Don't pass up the video. Anyway, mahalo Scott !!!

Julie was a fabulous pilot and provided us with an outstanding tour of Oahu! It was my second time flying with Blue Hawaiian ( Did the big island a couple years back ) and I would never choose anyone else. It was my wife’s first helicopter tour and she was a bit nervous about it. She had the time of her life and can’t wait to do it again! Mahalo Julie!

I am a pilot so I am taking this time to state my personal bias: I love flying!!! I had an amazing time! Our pilot was informative and fun! Now that that is out of the way I think it is important to inform customers that the tours can be canceled at any time due to unforeseen changes in weather. The staff did a decent job in keeping us informed on the situation once we got there but wouldnât it be better to keep us in the loop the whole time? With an activity that could make or break someoneâs hard earned vacation I would have liked to have had more information. Weather is unpredictable, I get it... I fly too however if you know a day in advance why not tell people a day in advance? They could cancel... yea yea itâs bad for business but if you canât fly you canât fly, we get it. Going up and not being able to see anything? Now thatâs just a shame. That is the same as not going up at all. Moral of the story: this tour was amazing however Iâd rather know a day before that the weather is bad and that we may not fly. Iâd like to be able to make the decision myself rather than getting there and having to worry whether or not they will cancel 5min before we are about to leave. This tour was not cheap... a little bit more courtesy to that fact as well as the fact that most people are looking to this as the highlight of their trip would be appreciated.

Jason, our pilot did and excellent job of navigating through inclement weather and favoring us with great information. The peak of the trip was to witness and actual flow of lava.
Seeing the lava flow both into the ocean and down the hill was spectacular. Wesley was a great Pilot. Waterfall was dissappointing
