We used Blue Hawaiian Helicopter in Hilo and Honolulu on our recent trip. Blue Hawaiian has been around for many years. Again we had a safe ride. And as in past rides the pilots were professional, knew our names and tried to make our ride feel like a customized ride even though there were other people in the helicopter. There are many operators out there and I can not speak to how good they are but I would trust Blue Hawaiian to give us the safest ride possible while showing us the great sites in Hawaii.

We really enjoyed our helicopter trip! The pre-flight process was smooth. Our pilot was friendly and knowledgeable. We had a clear day and marveled at the beauty of many places on Kauai that we were not able to see by car or hiking. The flight was smooth- just a little bit of expected turbulence that the pilot pointed out before it happened. This flight was the last thing we did at the end of our vacation and it is a wonderful memory. We were seated in the back row of two rows. My wife was at a window and I was in a middle seat. We were told that seating was determined by a computer based on weight distribution. Would I have liked to also be at a window? Sure, but I could still see fine. Our pilot was good at making sure we all got good angles for photos. Wearing dark clothes helps avoid reflections. I wish everyone on our helicopter had very dark clothes (and long pants), but again, there were plenty of different angles so even with some reflections we got some nice photos.

We were a little nervous to go on a helicopter, but as soon as we took off I was immediately overcome with wonder and amazement. It was a smooth ride, but it was an incredible view! My mouth was probably hung open the whole 50 mins. My family did the west Maui/Moloka’i tour, and it was stunning. The waterfalls, the valleys, and peaks, not to mention the ocean just took my breath away. We could not have asked for a better activity, worth every penny. Ask for Pilot Derek. He was funny and informative! What a great experience. Thank you Blue Hawaiian.

My wife and I were on the West Mai and Molokai tour and had a great time. Our pilot was knowledgeable of the area and got us into some great spots. I would recommend them to anyone who asks.

Awesome experience...if you want to see the island from the best view...Blue Hawaiian is the way to go! We had a blast!

I booked the Maui Spectacular helicopter flight. It was amazing. Our pilot was Tim - professional, but still funny and he explained all the places we saw from the sky. We stopped for 20 min, took pictures and enjoyed a nice wine & scenary. Amazing experience. Highly recommended!

Great helicopter tour with Ian! Beautiful views and informative - very enjoyable! It was one of the hi lights of our trip to Maui.

I had the chance to do the helicopter tour twice and when I return in Sept...I will tour another island Sunshine style. :-) Great people and they did an excellent job while we were in the air. Overall tour....excellent!

Amazing! Well worth the money!

This tour was one of the best trips my family took while staying in Maui. The views were breathtaking. There is no better way to see the island. The staff was so friendly and helpful. Mary in the office even provided a recommendation and directions for lunch at the Paia Fish Market. Ryan our pilot was also very friendly and informative. I don't like heights but I felt safe and secure during the entire flight.

We took the helicopter flight from Nawiliwili on Kauai on Friday 12 January. Kristie our pilot was really great, the whole flight was just mind boggling, the perfectly cloudless day made it even better. Wonderful, would love to do it again. The whole checkin process was very well done by all staff, friendly and efficient. The only negative, I hate to say, was the passenger in the front seat on the window, who, despite instructions we had received to wear dark clothing to minimise reflection in the copter windows, wore a "dark" shirt with HUGE WHITE SWIRLS ALL OVER IT!! Which all reflected in the windows we were trying to shoot our photographs through. Needless to say, almost every photo I took has large white swirls in it!! Just so disappointing!!! SUGGESTION AND RECOMMENDATION TO BLUE HAWAIIAN HELICOPTERS We appreciate that some passengers will either not read the instruction to wear dark clothing or will just ignore it for one reason or another, maybe not realising the significance of this . I would think that Blue Hawaiian would understand the effect the wearing of light coloured clothing has on the enjoyment of the flight by other passengers. So my recommendation is that Blue Hawaiian have on hand some kind of size adjustable disposable vest or over shirt in black to provide to the errant passengers. This could just be a simple black paper vest which could be just slipped over the head. Seems to me that would not be too difficult, and not a large cost compared to the goodwill created by having fewer negative feedbacks. It's too late now for us, but maybe will make for happier customers in the future. Jim and Joan Brisbane Australia .
