The tour of Maui was FANTASTIC especially with the whales we could see from above..The many waterfalls . hills and valleys are so magnificant to see! Our 16 yr old Daughter was amazed how cool and interesting this flight was. She smiled along with us during the flight. Tim,our piloit, was great and we enjoyed his extensive facts and knowledge of Maui. Mahalo, The Ripley Family

BEST WAY TO SEE MAUI
Maui - Kahului

As we had no idea on what Maui offered it was fantastic. My husband and I were on a cruise Pride of America, we booked online prior to our trip. We caught a taxi to the airport, checked in, weighed and watched the safety movie. Our pilot Mike was very informative. There was so many whales with babies. We did a landing near Wailea I think it was and had some Pineapple champagne. Then went up the mountain over the crater that looks like the moon. The came many waterfalls and rainbows. Past Hana and the beautiful landscape along the coast We bought the dvd and am very happy with it as I get to relive the flight. As we were only at Maui for 2 day we definately think this is the only option and have time to relax while on holiday.

Exhilarating!
Maui - Kahului

We've flown in airplanes all our lives, but had never taken a helicopter ride before, so we didn't know what to expect. Exhilaration - that's what! How incredible. The ride itself is fascinating. But on top of that, you're treated to some of the most beautiful scenery in the world. And since we were there in February, that means the whales were there too. It was so cool to be able to look down and see them from a different perspective. Amazing. We took the Complete Island Tour which lasted about an hour. Our pilot (don't remember his name) was funny, informative and really set us at ease. We loved it! Although, if you're prone to motion sickness, you may want to take a bonine or dramamine an hour or so before your flight. We don't have a problem with that, but could see where some of the turns might cause someone with those tendencies to become sick. Again, we absolutely loved it and would do it again!

Wonderful, Awsome, DO IT!!!!!
Maui - Kahului

Blue Hawaii gave us an amazing view of Maui that we would not have seen any other way. The pilot (Anna) was excellent and gave us a super smooth ride inspite of windy weather. She was really knowledgeable about all the areas that we toured and made the trip entertaining and educational. We did not fly the exact route originally planned due to weather, but it was still a wonderful experience. We saw 2000' waterfalls, lush jungle valleys and amazing scenery in all directions. I would recommend this to anyone.

Sky High Highlight!
Maui - Kahului

We booked a 6 passenger van tour to Hanna and a helicopter flight back to Kahului Airport. We booked this particular tour because we wanted to experience the Hanna Highway but didn't want to miss the sights by having to drive it ourselves. It was a relaxing drive and we enjoyed the sights. Certainly the high point was the flight back it was wonderful and since we are small people we had the good luck to sit up front wow what a rush! Our Pilot was fantastic he had put together a mix of perfect music to accompanied our flight his commendatory was informative and funny. It was very quiet from all the passengers as we were all rendered speechless by the beauty and sweeping vistas . The physical sensation was one of floating and the ability to quickly or slowly maneuver was quite hypnotic we loved every sensation and moment and though expensive we felt worth every penny. We were provided lunch as part of the tour it was served in an open air picnic area in Hanna at the beach white table cloth and napkins real plates & cutlery a nice touch. Since we have weird allergies they attempted to accommodate us with a vegetarian option lettuce leaves with salad inside a bit meager. The other passengers lunch was a bit more substantial than ours with 2 kinds of wraps to choose from salad and brownies and looked terrific I was sorry to have wheat and dairy allergies! The van ride portion was not as exciting as the flight back it was slower and there are not many places to legally pull over and stop for pictures but we managed. We did stop but never swam at the pools since water levels were high that day and flash flood possible and the driver advised it was not safe. It was raining so better safe than sorry people do drown from flash floods it was reported a woman did a few days later but she was driving privately with her husband so very sad! We stopped at the halfway mark and could purchase food and the famed Banana bread but not us due to the gluten thing, everyone said it was wonderful. We saw much more than we would have and the driver was excellent with his history of the area and factoid and funny tidbits. But our favorite part was the Flight ! High Five!!

Expensive but soooo worth it!
Maui - Kahului

Had a great experience with our pilot Glenda. But before that - things to know - everyone wants up front to get the best view but be aware that seating is determined by your weight and they use a computer program to decide who sits where (that's why they weigh you). I believe couples always get to sit together but you can't reserve a front (or back seat). Also, you can only take your camera and sunglasses with you in the helicopter and they don't allow iPads because their size can block the window view for other passengers - take a "regular" camera only. That said, you don't even really need your own camera because they provide a fabulous DVD of your very own tour taken with two outside cameras and an internal camera - it also captures all the audio so you can hear everything the pilot says, as well as questions from the passengers TO the pilot. At a price of only $25 you'd be crazy not to get it - if only as insurance for whether your own pics turn out. Our pilot was great and maneuvered around the best sights so that passengers on both sides got to see everything. She was very knowledgable and personable - thanks Glenda! And I just loved when the theme to the old Hawaii Five-O show played as we were taking off - what a thrilling way to begin our adventure! We were on a 50 minute tour that I was afraid would seem short but lasted longer than I would have thought - well worth the cost.

"Maui Spectacular Tour" with Blue Hawaiian Helicopters
Maui - Kahului

Great tour by our pilot, Anna. Smooth booking of tour on Blue Hawaiian Helicopters website for the Maui Spectacular Tour in the A-Star helicopter. Seating is by passenger’s weight. We had seats at the front since we were the lightest. Seats were very comfortable. Definitely need to wear sunglasses and dark colour clothing to cut down reflection while taking photos. Tour lasted about 90 minutes with a 20-minute stop at a ranch near Haleakala. Great view and drinks were served during the stop. Anna was very knowledgeable about Maui and answered questions during the tour. There was also very pleasant Hawaiian music playing in our headphones during the tour. We bought the DVD of our flight for $25. It was a good record of our tour but it wasn’t in blu-ray format. Parking at the heliport for our tour was $4.

Maui East Island Tour
Maui - Kahului

Really amazing flight and experience. Just the best and only way to see the different country and scenery on the island. Flying over the dormant crater then flying into the waterfalls, wow. Plus we saw more of the scenery that you do not get travelling by road, especially The Road to Hana. Music was great especially the opening music to Hawaii 50 on our take off. Thank you to our pilot Glenda who had the most wonderful voice and Blue Hawaii.

The best
Maui - Kahului

Took a 45 minute helicopter tour of Ouha today with Jonathan as our pilot. The tour and sightseeing far exceeded my anticipation and is a terrific value for the money. Shuttle service from Waikiki Beach hotels in creases the value and convenience. This is a TO DO activity withe the best helicopters, staff and pilots.

Just incredible
Maui - Kahului

We took the West Maui and Molokai tour in the Eco-Star, leaving in late afternoon. Fantastic experience. Great narration of the trip with historical notes throughout. You will see things you cannot see by any other method. High point- the 3,000 ft. seaside cliffs of Molokai and flying through the valleys of West Maui. Don't miss it!

Spectacular tour!
Maui - Kahului

We did the West Maui/Molokai tour with Emery earlier this week. Everything was fantastic-from the experience of flying in a helicopter, to the breathtaking views, to the excellent narration from Emery. There was music on the flight too, which for me really enhanced the experience! To see the islands from up above is incredible, and Blue Hawaiian does a great job of showing off this beautiful scenery. I really was speechless during the flight, it was amazing!

Fantastic experience
Maui - Kahului

What a great experience! My Hana/Haleakala flight with Emery was awesome. The flying, the sights and the running commentary were all great and the EcoStar is a great aircraft to do it in. I will be back for another flight!
