Our family of 6 - all adults - loved every moment of our helicopter trip around Kauai. It was thrilling for me to be piloted by a female pilot. She gave us so much information about the geology, geography, and movie site history of the island.
Amazing experience! The views were incredible, our pilot was interesting and considerate (one guest was nauseous) and the soundtrack was great. One small thing, one of the other passengers was doused in perfume, which may have contributed to the minor airsickness experienced by another passenger. For future, considering requesting passengers be scent-free? Thanks again for the great experience!
We signed up for the 7am 2-hour tour of both volcanoes and waterfalls. It was *spectacular*! The helicopter was amazingly comfortable and with the supplied headphones, quiet. We flew over the Saddle, looped around Kilaluea and then (much closer) around the new vent. Then we flew over the lava to see some red-hot molten flows. The pilot flew a figure-8 sort of thing so that both sides of the helicopter got an excellent view. (Incidentally, at no point did the flight feel anything but safe and stable -- the pilot was great!) We refueled in Hilo and then went up the coast to see amazing waterfalls -- including flying into some of the valleys -- and finally back to the Kona Coast base. It's not cheap, but is very much worthwhile. Highly recommended.
We did everything we could fit into 9 days that the big island has to offer. Our family enjoys an active lifestyle and we love adventure. We went on the 2 hour tour with BHH and it was the best money spent on the trip. The helicopter allowed us to experience things that would require weeks on the island and we still wouldn't have seen the scenery we were entitled to see. The organization and staff from front to back are professional and pleasant. The helicopters are comfortable and the pilot was very impressive (thank you Marco). The price was a stretch for me but our family agreed it was money well spent.
Had an amazing trip with Brody! He did his best to show us everything the island has to offer even with the rainy weather. We are lucky to have a wonderful native showing us what makes this island so special. We were both amazed at the vegetation, coast and falls. Just an amazing afternoon. Thank you Brody!
