Great staff and pilots and helicopters but a lot of glitches - we traveled 2 hours from the Kona side to Hilo, only to find out that our flight had been cancelled 15 minutes before it was supposed to leave - were told 'weather reasons' but nothing more specific and it was bright and sunny outside and then had to drive 2 hours back after being rescheduled for three days later. That day it poured all the way over - another 2 hours - but we flew anyway! There were so many no fly airspace restrictions because of the volcanic activity that we saw next to nothing of the actual volcanoes. While they had no control over civil defense closing air space and no fly zones, there was absolutely no information beforehand that the tour - Ring of Fire - volcanoes and waterfalls would have no Kilauea sighting at either major crater or cone and only one waterfall. It felt like a disappointment because they weren't at all forthcoming about the limitations they were under. We were a party of seven which costs a small fortune and we could very well have used that for a different experience had we known that this was not to be as advertised.

My husband and I traveled to Hawaii in celebration of our 10th wedding anniversary. As a special treat, we booked this excursion via NCL website... the excursion of a lifetime. The staff was professional and efficient. Gregg, our pilot, was a great singer... better pilot. He was personable and funny, knowledgeable and a pleasure to be around... Kaua’i is one of the most beautiful places on earth... However, our special highlight was our land tour with Dommi... he is Hawaii personified. His knowledge, charisma, charm and humor is unparalleled. In addition, the hula lesson was fantastic and entertaining. My husband and I felt extremely special when sang the Hawaiian wedding song... DO NOT HESITATE TO BOOK THIS EXCURSION... Ask for Gregg and above all, make sure Dommi is your guide... You won’t regret it!

We did the helicopter tour because many friends recommended it. It was the highlight of the trip! The pilot was a fantastic tour guid and we learned a lot about the island on the tour. It’s a must to do when visiting Kauai!!

Stunning, absolutely stunning. Completely breathtaking in every way. The 90-minute Kohala & Waterfall Landing trip is one of the most amazing things I’ve ever done.

Wesley was a great pilot. He offered great narration. Helping us to understand volcanos and Hawaii in general. He put everyone at ease, especially us on our maiden voyage on a helicopter. Music selections were wonderful too!

What a great bunch to deal with you really couldn't ask for anything more you got to see all the sights plus turtles and sharks swimming on the reef. Thanks again

Our first scheduled Big Island Spectacular tour was canceled for safety and weather reasons given the eruption; but it was rescheduled, and the weather cooperated. Unfortunately, we couldn't get up close and personal with actual lava flow (park was closed with air restrictions), BUT we saw the volcanoes and eruption sites, learned alot, and felt completely safe at all times. The second part of the tour - up the coast to the valley and to see waterfalls, and dramatic heights and lushness was, well, simply breathtaking. We were picked up at our hotel (at 5 am) for the ride to the heliport. Every staff member was friendly, knowledgeable and professional; the helicopters are pristine and comfortable. The trip was pricey, but worth every penny. I highly recommend this experience.

Wesley was the best pilot we could have imagined! Very knowledgeable about the area and made sure we were all able to see the spectacular views. Personable, enthusiastic, and courteous!

Wesley was great, he identified many points of interest for us to take a look at, and he had a great sense of humor. The ride was very scenic and smooth. Definitely recommend both pilot and tour company. Was my first time in helicopter and now I want to take more tours!

Our pilot Brian was absolutely awesome!! He was very informative and pointed out so many cool parts on the island, while keeping us safe and entertained the whole time. This was such an awesome experience to do during our first time in Kauai! We thoroughly enjoyed every second of the Blue Hawaiian Helicopter tour in Kauai, and will definitely will be back again! Fly safe!
