The boarding process was quick and professional. Carl the pilot had excellent control touch, very informative, and made it a once in a lifetime experience. Visual feast flying around the volcano around the south part of the island. The waterfalls on the North have to be seen from the air to be fully appreciated. If you are looking for a MUST do activity- this IS IT!

Fantastic! The pilot gave great comments. The ride was smooth even for me who has a weak stomach.

Brandon is most assuredly a five-star pilot. He answered all our questions thoroughly. He gave us a great guided tour. Also, the ride was so smooth that he made piloting a helicopter seem like he was driving a car. The tour was worth every penny. Well done and much thanks!

This was my first time in a helicopter and I confess I was scared - but once we entered the helicopter and the pilot (Paul) started to talk to me (also in my native language) I relaxed imediately and started to enjoy the trip. The trip was incredibly smooth and Paul was excelent, interacting with all the passengers, calling each one by their own name and explaining the nuances of the scenarios we were seeing. We felt the experience was really personable. We also had a 10 year old child with us, who was also amazed by the trip. We definitely recommend this trip and the pilot!

My husband and I took a ride with Blue Hawaiian Helicopters yesterday on their Big Island Spectacular. We chose their 7 am flight. Fortunately, they provided a free pick up shuttle from our Kona Coast Resort. They picked us up at 5:10, just as promised. Our driver was very friendly, as was the entire staff of Blue Hawaiian. This was our first experience with them. We loved our experience SO much that we have booked a flight with them when we are on Maui. Our flight was absolutely magnificent! We had their Eco Star, which was comfortable and afforded a wide view for 2.5 hours. Our pilot, Toshi, was incredible! He not only had a wonderful sense of humor, but his credentials as a helicopter pilot were admirable! We loved his tour over the island! What amazed me were the incredible views of the island! We had been here before, but had never seen the island from the air. With the action of the volcano, we were in awe! As Toshi said, the island is very safe. It was just the little portion of the lava flows that had received so much press. The view of the lava flows into the ocean were absolutely awesome! But, we felt very safe and glad that we came to the Big Island and booked our views with Blue Hawaiian!

Brody was an amazing pilot. He was full of knowledge and really cared about the island. by far the best part of our trip to the islands!

The entire Blue Hawaiian staff was extremely accommodating to bad weather conditions. It took two attempts but they finally gave us an incredibly beautiful tour of the island. Our pilot Josh was friendly and did his best to get us close to the action. Thank you!!

We had the pleasure to be guided around the Beautiful Big Island by GoGo. He was able to tell us everything and more about the new and old parts of the Island. Seeing numerous rainbows to the lava flow in Hilo. Everything about the helicopter tour was breathtaking. Amazing Pilot!!!!!!!!!!

What an amazing trip...we loved it! Thanks to pilot Ryan for his insights and the color he added to a great tour...we will be back!
