This was the most amazing thing we did in our 2 week stay on the Hawaiian Islands! We flew over Fissure #8 and it’s Lava Lake. We saw the stretch of shoreline where the lava entered the ocean. Our pilot was very knowledgeable. He made sure everyone had a great view by turning us around and asking often if we all got to see the view. He has music playing which added to the experience, the songs matched up with what we were seeing. The destruction below us was devastating and beautiful...it made me cry. A MUST for any visitor, especially while the volcano is erupting!

We now have had two flights where upon completion of our trip the video of our flight was somehow “not available” as it didn’t “work”. For the amount of money you pay for these flights the personal video of your flight (even though an additional cost) should not be an issue. We won’t use these guys any more and would advise using someone else. The staff didn’t seem that concerned about it on the first flight when our adult children didn’t get their once in a lifetime video and it was only a bit better on ours. Their safety talk prior to the flight was also lacking. We were shown how to put on the life jackets but not how to actually activate them. Two people were late and were not even given a safety discussion. Recommend using someone else.

Even though the Volcano park is closed, the helicopters can still fly over the rifts where the lava is flowing into the sea. Flew over Rift #8 and the flow coming out was tremendous. If you have any motion sickness issues in a car at all, take a full compliment of anti-nausea pills. The Volcano viewing didn’t bother me too much, but flying up into the valleys on the east shore of the island to see water falls, was nearly too much for my inner ear due to the updrafts and narrowing canyon walls. The tour and pilot were great! This tour company is worth the extra money due to them providing noise canceling head sets for communications while on the helicopter.

Our pilot Tom was amazing. We went to the lava field and was awestruck. The water falls and the valleys were amazing too! We recommend that you do this!!!

Captain Shay provides a fun and informative flight. He has that slow southern charm that is perfect for island life. His soundtrack provided us with perfect background music to accompany the gorgeous views. Shay is truly professional and was able to answer every question we asked. This is an opportunity that can’t be missed. The Blue Hawaiian staff is so friendly and helpful. We loved every minute of our tour and will definitely be back again. Mahalo!!

One of the main things that I had read prior to coming to Kauai was to fly with Blue Hawaiian. I have never flown before and our pilot Shay did such an amazing job at keep the flight smooth and entertaining. Shay’s knowledge of this island neatest spots was very impressive. It was truly such an incredible experience!!! The staff at Blue Hawaiian were very friendly and very helpful!!! Thank you for one of the most incredible, amazing, beautiful , and smooth flights!!!!!

My wife and I had an amazing time in Kauai, highlighted by our Blue Hawaiian helicopter tour. Our pilot, Brian, was gracious and wonderfully knowledgeable about all things Kauai! He was also thoughtful of the view for all guests, no matter where you were seated in the helicopter. Thanks Brian. Kauai is one of the most beautiful places we’ve ever visited. Put this tour at the top of your list when visiting.
