My husband researched heli tours on Kauai and found this company to be the best. We went on an Eco-star, which was more comfortable and spacious than the basic heli model. We recommend taking this tour early on in your stay because the pilot (ours was a wonderful woman named Beth) will point out things you might like to see later in your trip. If you’re prone to motion sickness, I suggest you take 2 Dramamine or similar anti-nausea meds. I only took 1 Dramamine and ended up getting sick twice during the tour. Luckily they have “comfort bags.” :)

Our pilot was very knowledgeable and shared some great insights on the volcano, island and Mauma Kea. We had a beautiful sunny day, chose the Eco Star and we’re glad we had such great views with all the windows. It was worth the money! Our tour was about 45 mins.

Had an amazing time! Felt very at ease and our pilot Geoffrey was a former military pilot. He was very knowledgeable, and he was a lot of fun while remaining extremely professional. This experience is a must do in Kauai.

Ride was smooth, not scary at all. Breathtaking views. Heard many of the same stories i heard on the van half of the tour. But the experience is recorded, what you said and saw is available to purchase. Which is cool.

Awesome tour, I Highly recommend.

We came to the Big Island to see Volcano National Park and were at first disappointed to find that it had been closed to visitors because of the recent volcanic activity. We were able to put that disappointment to bed by booking a tour with Blue Hawaiian Helicopters, who flew us directly above (well, within the safety boundaries) of the spewing Fissure #8. It was a once-in-a-lifetime sight, the likes of which we'll not soon forget, and which was only enhanced by the charming personality and little bon mots shared by our pilot, Casey. Kudos to the entire Blue Hawaiian staff for helping us to not only save that portion of our trip, but give us an entirely different perspective on the island and the lava.

Spectacular way to see the island and all its hidden beauty! Our pilot Greg was very informative and we felt safe, especially those of us who were anxious about being on a helicopter for the first time.
