I was hesitant to spend the money for a helicopter tour but it was well worth it. The staff at Blue Hawaiian was awesome and the experience was amazing! I highly recommend Blue Hawaiian Helicopters as a unique way to see the full island in a day.
Flying with Blue Hawaiian is a real good experience, as they are very professional and courteous to their customers. Our first trip was cancelled shortly before our scheduled time due to bad conditions, but they were able to quickly reschedule us for the following day. The Eco-Star is a great helicopter to fly in with excellent viewing all around. Our pilot was very informative and personable. We saw all of the areas affected by the spring/summer 2018 lava flows along with a couple of waterfalls north of the airport from a distance. Quite frankly, they could lose the waterfalls from this tour and it won't matter. I was hoping to see some of Hawaii Volcanoes National Park, but that was not part of the itinerary. Overall, a good flight.
We had an afternoon flight, and thankfully we got the go-ahead to fly even though there had been a big storm the day before.Our pilot Matt was charming and engaging, and made the flight entertaining. Smooth flight, even though some late cloud cover threatened the trip.Gorgeous scenery, and would do it again if I could!

Breath-taking - Loren was an excellent pilot/commentator. I thoroughly enjoyed the flight and the views were amazing. I'd highly recommend this flight to anyone considering it.
