Unforgettable experience! Derek was a great pilot and knowledgeable guide. We did West Maui and Molokai on the A-Star and it was beautiful (I assume any tour will be breathtaking. Hawaii is amazing!). It looked foggy while we were waiting to board the helicopter but it wasn't a problem once we were out there. It sprinkled a little bit, which was really cool watching the drops slide across the windows. The highlight of the trip was hovering in front of an almost complete circle rainbow over the water. Amazing!
Pilot Beth is a Rockstar and flying with Blue Hawaiian is always the highlight of our trips to Hawaii!
We toured with Blue Hawaiian in Mauii years ago and had such a grand time and that is why we went with you again. Brodi is a true asset to your company. He exemplifies what a tour guide should be. This is my 6th helicopter trip in Hawaii and my 3rd on the big island. My review is mixed. The views, as always, are spectacular. I appreciate Blue Hawaiian's high quality two way headphone system. I wish the pilot had talked more about the geology, biology, and weather as we saw things. Also, although for the major sights such as Pu`u O`o and Waipi`o Valley we turned around for people to view from all directions, there were a number of great sights that were best seen from the left side (where I was) but not as well on the right side. For example the latest eruption site in the Puna district, and the long series of waterfals on the way to Kohala.
