Great trip and unique commentary, however the star of the show is the scenery from the air. A different perspective from the road which we did the day before. A recommended activity.

Very nice tour: waterfalls, whales, music to accompany the trip. The pilot was very knowledgeable and friendly.

This was a trip of a lifetime!! If you want to see the Island, this is the way to do it!! Extremely Talented Pilots!! Got us close to the scenery!! These are very nice Air Bus Helicopters. We luckily chose an early flight. There were no clouds, which the pilot said was rare. We got to see sites normally not accessible because of cloud cover. Great Company!! Great Flight!!

Ethan our pilot for Blue Hawaiian Helicopters was excellent. He was so informative about the volcanic activity in the area and showed us many interesting areas. We flew out over the ocean and we were able to spot a pair of whales. I highly recommend going out with this operation.

Great views of the volcano, there is currently no active lava flows but steam can be seen rising from the crater. Our pilot Wesley was very informative about the history of the volcano eruptions and the impact on the local communities. Flight was very smooth and as first timer in a helicopter flier felt very safe and reassured from all the staff involved.

Incredible experience! It is expensive but I felt it was worth it. Our helicopter sat 6 people plus the pilot. Every seat was a good seat with a great view. They do a safety video beforehand, so you feel very secure. It is very windy outside and be sure to wear dark colors. Our pilot was so nice and funny! He made us feel very safe and honestly it was easy to forget we were in a small helicopter so far up in the sky. Everyone wears big headphones and you can talk to everyone by pushing a button. it's hard to hear, so talk loudly. We flew over the old lava fields, the ocean, a huge vent and a waterfall near Hilo. The pilot said that it's difficult sometimes because it rains so often in Hilo, which means they may not be able to fly, but if it's sunny and no rain, then the waterfalls won't be as big. So just be happy with what you get! We had a wonderful time and would do it again.

Awesome trip, Wesley was great, this is our third trip with Blue Hawaiian, we hope to be back again!
