Derek was a fabulous pilot. I get very motion sick, even with medication. I made this known when we registered and everyone was so accommodating. The ride was smooth. Derek made our ride flawless, consistently checking in to make sure everyone was doing okay with the flight. Derek was fun, knowledgeable, energetic. He made our flight amazing. We saw whales breaching, which was my favorite of our entire trip to Maui. Derek made sure that he got us the best views possible of the scenery throughout the entire flight. I would highly recommend Blue Hawaiian.

Our family flew on the Hana Halekela tour with Blue Hawaiian. Our pilot, Hugo, was great in pointing out attractions and keeping everyone entertained. We flew with blue Hawaiian 20 years ago as a couple and were thrilled to share the experience with our family. Just as breath taking.

We scheduled a full island tour of Maui on 1/9/19. When we showed up for the tour the weather on one side of the island was raining. They offered us a chance to reschedule or they would adjust the cost and tour most of the island and Molokai. The pilot was great and knowledgeable of all the parts of the island he flew us to. It was great that they offered us a modified trip as we were due to leave in a few days and did not have any time to return on another day to try for the full island tour. I appreciated the fact that they were willing to work with us on making this happen.

A wonderful adventure. The whole crew at Blue Hawaiian from our pilot Ron, to the ground crew, to the agents at the front counter are totally professional (and fun). If you are up for a spectacular ride over the volcanoes definitely choose Blue Hawaiian.

I had mixed feelings about touring Kaua'i by helicopter, as I feared spoiling the beauty and tranquility of this stunningly beautiful wonder of nature. I figured that I would atone in subsequent days by exploring the island on foot--and I did. But I didn't regret the helicopter tour that my wife and I took with Blue Hawaiian Helicopters. There are better ways of exploring the island (on foot, by boat) but there is no better way of getting a rapid overview of what you might want to explore in greater detail after the flight. And for people who have mobility issues, it's the only way. It's not cheap (How could it be?) but you get your money's worth: a friendly ground crew, a highly qualified, knowledgeable and interesting pilot, a state-of-the-art helicopter (Airbus), and access to the most beautiful sights in Kaua'i. If you're a Vietnam veteran who misses the open-door, sit-on-your-helmet, Apocalypse Now kind of helicopter adventure, you might not find this to your liking, but, hey, you're older now, and it might be nice to take advantage of the climate control and the Bose noise-cancelling headsets. And for you photographers, the window views are expansive, there are no bad seats and you can take plenty of glare-free photos. So got for it. You won't meet Robert Duvall, but you will most definitely be spared the smell of napalm!

Overall this was a great experience and definitely worth the money. From pick up to drop off all the staff and crew are excellent. Our pilot was fun and knowledgeable. We even saw a pod of whales and circled them a while to watch them play. Great trip! I was very disappointed with my seating. I am a pilot and specifically asked to sit in the front. Booked directly with the company and they said they would request this. I was assigned to the back middle with less than stellar views. I have read several one star reviews and responses from the company. The standard answer is that this is FAA regulated weight and balance that creates assigned seating. This is bunk! All pilots learn to do weight and balance before their first flight. Anybody of reasonably normal size can be put in any seat. They chose to ignore my specific request. For the money you pay I would like to see them be more responsive. Regardless, I had a blast and would do it again!!

On our third visit to the Big Island we finally decided to take this flight. It was without a doubt the most amazing thing I have ever done. The waterfalls, the valleys, the cliffs all showcased the beauty of the Big Island. It is pricey for us Canadians, even so, I’m glad I did it. Those memories are priceless.

This is such a great way to see and explore this amazing island with all of its diverse climates and history....from desserts to volcanoes, to tropical canyons and beaches and native Island history. You get to listen to wonderful coreographed music all while learning amazing facts and getting to ask any questions you have. We started off our big Island visit with this tour and talked about it for the rest of our trip....we’re still talking about it. Treat yourselves, you won’t regret it.

An amazing experience! Pilot Loren was both informative and humourous in his tour of O'ahu. Definitely an experience to recommend to friends and family. Thank you Blue Hawaiian!

The helicopter ride is very smooth, Pilot Paul is very informative and the views are spectacular. We very much enjoyed this adventure.
