It was wonderful and I will plan to come back and do this again in February to see the big surf. Julie was wonderful and made the trip very enjoyable.
My wife and I came to Kauai for the first time and knew we wanted to do a helicopter tour since we were only there for 3 days. My wife had flown with Blue Hawaiian years ago in Maui. I called to book because I’ve gained some weight over the years and they were very accommodating. I did have to pay extra for a comfort seat which is clearly spelled out on their website. It’s about an additional 50%. That’s totally fine. We had the first flight of the day with our pilot, Dave. Everyone was very professional and Dave was great. The views were spectacular to say the least. Whether you’ve been in a helicopter before or not, I highly recommend Blue Hawaiian. Wish we could have done it all over!!

Steven was an awesome pilot. He was very informative and had lots of great information to share. We got to see beautiful waterfalls and volcano views. This is definitely the pilot and company to go with when want to see Hilo area. Thank you for a wonderful opportunity!!
The staff was welcoming, professional, and organized. The schedule was punctual. Our pilot Marco was fun, knowledgeable, and easy to converse with. Marco is also a top-notch pilot who obviously loves what he does. He related as well to our 7yo passenger as he did to the 60yo guests. The flight was beautiful and amazing. I wondered if the experience would be worth the ticket. Not only was it worth every penny, I would do this again on a future visit. Thanks, Blue Hawaiian for a lifetime memory.

Tour was breathtaking. Shay the pilot was fantastic and kept the tour very fun and interesting the entire 50 minute tour. Would definitely do this again! They do video record the experience, and you can purchase this for $60. The cost does seem a bit steep to me, but what are you going to do aside from record it yourself? Other than that, incredible experience.
Yes it is expensive but you have to go for it. It really may be the best thing you do while on vacation. It is definitely a bucket list check off. Everyone has as good seat and you will see more of the island than you could on your own. Don't worry about getting motion sickness. It feels as if you are sitting in a chair at home that vibrates.

David gave us an incredible tour! He is a very skilled pilot and we are impressed with his knowledge of the island--especially since he is from our own native New England. Views were spectacular, narration on point, and music was appropriate and moving. Thank you, David. Go Sox!!
Today we flew with John, who gave us an unbelievable experience. He has a very upbeat spirit and clearly loves what he does. He made our first helicopter experience incredible. This is the third time members of our family have used Blue Hawaiian, and we would highly recommend them to anyone. Mahalo! P.S. His playlist was a great addition to all the scenery (especially the Pirates of The Caribbean and Jurassic Park Theme!)
If you are going to put down the bucks for a life-altering experience in the skies above Kauai, you damn well better pick Blue Hawaiian! Don't waste your dollars anywhere else! Pro traveler tip: ask for the AAA discount. And study the island a little bit before you fly, so you can ask better questions and know where you're going. Your guide will be full of useful information. But an educated traveler always asks better questions.
