Lauren was a fabulous pilot and guide and he had us laughing throughout the trip! Tuesday was a great crew member. we enjoyed her company!! Thank you SO much Blue Hawaiian Helicopters!!
Our first helicopter ride was awesome! Brandon did a great job with descriptions and made the ride very enjoyable.
Brandon was fantastic. Very informative, fun, friendly and willing to go where we asked. Highly reoommend
Loren and the rest of the staff did a fantastic job...from safety brief, walk to the helicopter and entire trip. Loren provided great info along the trip, but also allowed everyone time to just soak in the scenery. Definite highlight of our trip to the island. Overall great job, by all.
We had our first trip cancelled due to weather and almost our second but we got out there. Due to weather we had to change tours and went to Molokai which I highly recommend. The scenes were indescribable and no matter what photos you see it doesn’t do it justice. If you are able to do this then don’t think twice. Our pilot was Hugo who was awesome. The staff on the ground was so nice. Great company all around and the helicopters are designed to give you plenty of viewing.
Arrived in Hilo during a cruise (SF-Hawai'i-SF). Purchased the helicopter tour tickets at the cruise ship's excursion desk ($340 per adult; $290 for my 3 year-old son). Had to pay an extra $149 for me (over 260 lbs). Blue Hawaiian had a "waiting area" just off the boat. After weighing each of us (to know who to put in which helicopter - and in which seat; so the helicopters are as close to balanced as possible), we were driven to the airport. We were shown a short safety video, then we put on our inflatable flotation vests, then we walked to the tarmac. My 82 year-old dad got a golf cart ride out to the helicopter. Once we (my dad, wife, son, me, and 2 others) got into our seats, we were buckled in - and then we were on our way. Big plus = we flew over 3 or 4 volcano craters. The pilot made sure both sides of the copter got good looks down into each crater. Minor minuses = no active lava flow to see; "waterfalls" were more like streams that were trickling over short ledges. It was a once (or twice) in a lifetime activity. After the ride, we exited the copter, walked back to the lounge in the airport (time to buy merch and/or a DVD of our flight), and then we were driven back to the ship's pier. Didn't knock my socks off, but it was a cool experience.
What an incredible experience! The sights are breathtaking as Kauai has to be one of the most beautiful islands in the world. Besides that our pilot Brian was amazing! And the whole operation is extremely organised. I would definitely recommend using Blue Hawaiian Helicopters!
Great job, Beth!
It is a wonderful tour! The view, the pilot, and the service is very good!
Addressing passengers by their name during the narration made the ride feel more intimate. We appreciated making multiple passes across the feature vent. The narration and storylines about various land features was very intriguing and appreciated.
Wesley did a great job was entertaining and knowledgeable about the history of the volcanos. His music was great as well. He did a good job of balancing the view for both sides of the helicopter.
Brian is so interesting and has a good sense of humor. He gave a fascinating tour, explaining what we were seeing and information about the island. This was my first helicopter ride and his relaxed manner helped me to relax and enjoy the flight. THANK YOU!
We’ve always wanted to take a Helo Trip Of Maui. We finally splurged and pulled the trigger. We did the entire Maui Island Tour. Bruno was our pilot and he was great. Funny, engaging, & informative. The weather was perfect. Nothing like seeing Maui from a helicopter. I am so glad we celebrated our Wedding Anniversary this way as we had gotten married on Kaanapali Beach 20 years previous. Tks to Bruno & the Gang for a memorable experience! ?
What a great way to experience Hawaii! Add it to your bucket list.
