We took the plunge and paid the money for a once in a lifetime tour across West Maui and Molokai. We were not sorry we did and in fact it was excellent and extremely memorable. Our pilot was Tim and he had the best knowledge across so many aspects on Maui , the environment and just about anything you wanted to ask him. The scenery was just so amazing and we were fortunate with a fairly calm and sunny day. Our flight started around 11am with the 3 of us and 2 others joining Tim for the 45 minute trip. We choose the A-Star helicopter and can say we still had such a great view of the islands and sea in between. There was plenty of room and due to the calm day had a nice stable flight for the full duration of it. As we were flying close to midday the shadowing was minimal and we got so many great video and pictures that we took ourselves. Tim was also taking video from 3 fixed cameras during the flight and the audio was also included so even if you don’t take any yourself you can buy a copy from Tim. Thanks to Blue Hawaii Helicopter Tours - and no flying jitters or apprehension - cheers!!
Went on the Circle of Fire tour out of Hilo airport. First of all, there is no fire, lava has stopped flowing, at least visibly. This tour is also supposed to include waterfalls. We got to see one, double falls near the airport, across the harbor. This was our first helicopter tour and it was a fun experience flying in a helicopter. Also, our pilot, Ethan was great, was very informative and great at pointing out geographic features. Considering the cost, I don’t think I can recommend this tour.

Brian was warm and genuine in his conversation as we flew. He has a good sense of humor and I loved the relates to movie scenes.
Brian was very fun and knew so much about the island of Kauai and the history which is what was so informative. Mahalo for our trip to Mount Waiaili too it gave me chills. I am also appreciated that he acknowledged my birthday. Blessings to all your trips on Kauai, Romae and Bob

Great flight piloted by Glenda. The weather was deteriorating, but she got us close enough for good pictures of the clouds and waterfalls on the north-east side of Molokai. Beautiful!
Wunderschöner Rundflug über Teile des Hawaiʻi Volcanoes National Parks sowie die Wasserläufe und -fälle westlich des Flughafens von Hilo. Unser Flug ging mit 55 Minuten sogar etwas länger als geplant. Unvergessliche Aussichten sowie tolle Erklärungen unseres Piloten zur Geschichte der Insel. Der Preis hierfür ist angemessen. Beautiful flight over parts of the Hawaiʻi Volcanoes National Park as well as the watercourses and waterfalls west of Hilo Airport. Our flight lastet 55 minutes, i.e. slightly longer than scheduled. Unforgettable views and great explanations of our pilot regarding the history of the (Big) island. Price is justified.
