I've never flown in a helicopter so it was a great experience and an awesome way to explore the island.
Shane was an excellent pilot and tour guide for our flight across the Big Island. Very knowledgeable, adapted to the changing weather, and we had an incredibly enjoyable time. Highly recommend both the tour and Shane!
If you are thinking about a helicopter tour and you are on Kauai, do it! We flew from Princeville but I imagine the route from Lihue is similar. Kauai has the most amazing terrain of the 4 major islands, and this is a "bucket list" trip! If your budget allows, consider the upgrade for the front seats - totally worth it! The wind was up and the ride was a bit bumpy at times, so if you are prone to seasickness take Dramamine or just skip it. Check the hourly weather forecast to avoid the rain. Aloha!!
Lots to see and an hour passes quickly. We flew at the end of November, so it was nice and wet for full flowing waterfalls.
We scheduled this tour through NCL, though it was my second tour wth Blue Hawaiian. This company is very focused on safety and the staff is friendly and competent. Marty was our pilot and he had years of experience and knew a lot about the Island. He provided a running commentary and answered all questions, complete with corny jokes. This was a great trip. Thank you.

Jeremy was wonderful- very knowledgeable and we all loved hearing all of the facts of the years of lava flow. Learning about all the varying climates on this island alone was fascinating. Thank you SO much!
Talking to the pilot was a great opportunity to learn more about the flight. We saw lots of things, including the dinosaur bones! The scenery was amazing, and we would do it again! Thanks Pilot Paul - it was fun!
AS a former NAVY Man, I would I would have liked if I could have done another lap of the decommissioned ships and Pearl. From a photograph view, the sun facing the decom ship would have made a great photo shot rather than into the sun. An opportunity missed for me. Thank you

It's been a great experience flying Oahu with Blue Hawaiian Helicopters. Very nice tour all the way around the island, specially for my first helicopter ride. Miguel, the pilot, was very friendly, very knowledge and made a great conversational flight.

An experience of a lifetime. What a way to see the island!! Our pilot Jeremy was incredibly knowledgeable about the volcanic activity and pointed out things we may not have noticed. Do yourself a favor and check our Blue Hawaiian Helicopter Tours!!
