We did a one hour tour over Oahu - we sat in the front and it was spectacular. Pilot was very knowledgable and turn the chopper around so both sides could see the attractions. Saw places from above that we were going to visit on a day tour which was great. A must for first timers to Oahu

Hard not to say this was our favorite adventure of our trip. The staff, from beginning to end, was outstanding and extremely helpful. The 50 minute, doors off, flight around the island was beautiful and our tour guide pilot Nathan was fantastic. He provided a wonderful and exciting flight while keeping us informed about the different places we were seeing around the island. We all learned a lot about Oahu while having a blast at the same time. All seven of us (three in one chopper and four in another) said that we would have turned around and jumped on again for another go around. Highly recommend this adventure!

Since I have never flown in a helicopter before I was very apprehensive, but the friends at Makanikai ( they were all very friendly) helped to ease my fears. They were very professional and helpful, and made my ride unforgettable 😊😊

Prior to arriving in Hawaii my wife and I looked at things to do. We really fancied the helicopter ride, we weren't disappointed. The views over diamond head, punchbowl crater are exceptional. We couldn't see pearl harbour too well as just at that moment the weather turned, but the rest was brilliant well worth paying for

This was probably the highlight of my trip to Hawaii, it was certainly a fantastic way to see the island, and to see places that you wouldn't normally see by car. Our pilot (Jim) was fantastic, and was very knowledgeable about the things we were flying past/over. Would definitely recommend this for anyone visiting Hawaii!

Our party of four were skilfully piloted by Morley on a beautiful Hidden Oahu Helicopter Tour if 45 minutes. We saw sights impossible to cover on the ground as well as experiencing the story of Pearl Harbour from the air. The service was professional with hotel pick up making the trip easy.

What a fantastic experience this was!! From pick up by our cool driver/tour guide/destination explanation guy to our pilot who was cool as a cucumber as he smoothly flew us over mountains to see amazing waterfalls and out over the beautiful Pacific Ocean. To, literally, sit front and center was pretty frickin awesome. Thank you for such a killer day. We will tell everyone about Makani Kai Helecopters. Cheers!!

Jim was an amazing pilot, and really showed us a great time. My wife was a bit nervous, because the doors are off, but Jim quickly put that to rest, with explaining everything in detail, what was going to happen, where and when. He showed us some great spots, and we got some amazing pictures, I would highly recommend this, if you are adventurous, but bring some warm clothes, if you get cold easy.

Went on an one hour helicopter tour around the island of Oahu. Oh My God!!!! If was fantastic! I sat up front and had the hole beautiful green island to the left and the turquoise ocean to the right. Our pilot Morley was great! It cost a bit but it was worth every penny! I paid the same amount for just 15 minutes flying over New York once. Here I got one hour of pur heaven. LOVED IT!!!!!! Everyone at Kamani Kai that I talked to was very nice and helpfull. Really, really recommend them.

Awesome pilot, Jeff made this trip enjoyable and exciting, fantastic fun and worth every cent if you don't get the RH back seat. Solo travellers face extra costs and limitations all the time, for this ride I requested to pay extra for a front seat, no, not allowed, only couples allowed to pay extra for a front seat... Very dissapointing to hear the lady staff say to the other solo rider she had the best seat on the LH side at back before we took off. Overall great experience and I highly reccommend. Catering to singles requests would make this perfect, or at least let singles purchade the LH side back for an extra fee when they specifically requested the front seat. I appreciate the weight ratios came into play here. Maholo Chris

We had the most amazing flight with our pilot. The wind was high and he was great!!! The views are amazing and the commentary was excellent.... The whole team was very professional, but the pilot clearly enjoyed his job.....

We took the 45 minute flight around the island and had a great time. Very informative and friendly pilot and the chopper was clean and felt safe. Have never flown in a chopped before but felt very comfortable on board.

My husband and I came to Hawaii, I am the adventurous one, him, not so much. I wanted to do something not done before. Yes, a helicopter tour of Oahu. As I was booking the reservation, he sat with me, and I said that we were going to do the doors off option. He looked worried....the experience was amazing. Pilot Nathan was awesome. He was very knowledgeable, and very compassionate when he needed to be for the passengers. I would do it again and again and again. The beauty of this land should be seen with no obstructions. Thank you for the once , I hope twice or more, in a lifetime experience. Aloha...

This is a must do when in Honolulu. Seeing the island from 1200 ft. is an experience of a lifetime. Our pilot, Morley, was extremely knowledgeable and provided a very interesting and detailed narrative during the tour. Even though it was a little windy and we had a little feather rain near the mountains on tour day, the flight was smooth and the sights were beautiful! The video of the flight arrived in the mail within a few days as promised and will remind us of the great experience that Makani Kai Helicoper Tours provided us. Would highly recommend it to everyone and will do it again if I ever get the chance.

We chose the doors off round island tour of Oahu, WOW it was amazing, our pilot Nathan was fantastic, he gave excellent commentary the whole trip and gave us a wonderful experience. We felt totally safe from the beginning to the end, from the moment we jumped in Nathan made us feel at ease and we knew we were in good hands. We didn't need to ask many questions and Nathan was already answering them as they were coming to mind, he has excellent knowledge of the area and made it super interesting. Well Done, felt bad though as we were advised by our bus driver not to take any cash with us and then we didn't see Nathan again to give him a tip. We were collected from our hotel, the bus ride was informative and we did the safety briefing on the bus. all round it was truly Superb.
