Great experience. We took a 30 minute journey. The reservation was made by phone in just 10 minutes, nice lady on the phone! They picked us up at the Pacific Monarch as expected at the rigth time. The journey was incredible. The pilot was awesome!

Did this helicopter flight over Oahu and bought the video of it to have. I had never been in a helicopter before and I loved it. Our pilot was great! The views spectacular. A must do

We booked the tour through hawaiidiscount.com, and could not have been more pleased! The driver picked us up on time, and showed a recorded safety video while en route, saving time after we got to the airfield. Seats were assigned according to weight, which was nice for me, but did NOT allow my wife to be near a window. The flight was smooth throughout, and whenever a slight bump was expected due to mountains, the pilot would give us warning. I did not know how we could circle the entire island of Oahu in a short time, but we DID and without any rushing. The pilot gave a non-stop narrative, pointing out the sites below us and giving some history or trivia about what we saw. All in all, a great value, fun flight, and I'd recommend it to ANYONE who wants to see the island from the air! ONLY drawback ... the onboard video recording system FAILED to work for our flight, so we were unable to purchase the personalized video. Could NOT see buying someone else's tour, which we were offered at a discount, and so declined. Would REALLY have liked to have one with a personal video and a good narrative, just like our pilot had given us.

My friend (who has never been in a helicopter) and I took the Makani Kai Helicopter tour and it was great! The views are breathtaking. Even though it was a little pricey, I would recommend this tour to all who visit Oahu - you won't regret it. You can also purchase a video of the tour - can't wait to get mine!

I booked the doors off your for the next day but they rang me back an hour later for A change to an earlier longer doors on trip So they will swap you around to fill the choppers and maximise the profit Nice office Great pilot Nice chopper A bit pricey but everything is in Hawaii Great views

We chose this company because they are the company used by the TV show, Hawaii Five-0 - so we figured they would have to be really safe, right? What a fabulous company and great people!! Our pilot was Margo, and she was fabulous! Great information, great pilot, and excellent sense of humor. What a treat to see Oahu from a helicopter. Well worth every single penny, plus you can buy a DVD of your trip for $40.00 and they'll mail to you. You can preview the video after the flight to be sure it turned out. I highly recommend this company!

We took the 60-minute Sacred Falls Tour. Pilot was great, got views of North Shore, Wakiki, mountains, Dole Plant, Pearl Harbor, Ko Olina and more. Always felt safe and was worth the price. We didn't purchase the inflight video, as it didn't appear too clear. They may want to upgrade the cameras for that. All in all, don't miss!

We took the Hidden Oahu tour and it was phenomenal!! From the staff who picked us up at our hotel, to the office staff to the pilot - everyone was SO helpful and attentive!! The flight was about 55 min and it was incredible!! Our pilot (Morley) was such a great tour guide and gave such great details about what we were seeing! Wow - the best part of our week in Oahu!! Can't wait to receive the DVD of our flight and show it to our family and friends. We definitely recommend the company and their helicopter tours!! Thanks Makani Kai!!

Took the 45 minute open door flight around the main island. Pilot Jim is a master of his trade and gave us a informative as well as funny run down as we flew over the island. I highly recommend it...

Our pilot Margot effortlessly maneuvered the helicopter over the beautiful mountainous terrain with the greatest of ease, while we sat back and soaked it all in. We took the 45-minute closed door tour. I personally enjoyed Margot's narrative as she flew the aircraft around the island. We represented 2 couples and were seated in the 4 rear seats and there were another couple that sat in the front seats beside Margot. Some in our party felt squeezed in the rear seats and would have preferred a bit more room to enjoy the flight. If you are not super skinny, you might find seating in the aircraft's rear seats an issue, but other than that it was a pleasant and rather enjoyable experience and one I would recommend to anyone looking to take sightseeing to the next level.

We had planned to do an open door helicopter flight on a day visit to the Big Island but due to the weather, that was cancelled. At the time we were gutted but then we found these guys and our Big Island blues were blown away in 50 fantastic minutes. We chose to do the open-door helicopter flight which takes you around Oahu and takes in some amazing scenery, areas that have been used time and time again in Hollywood blockbusters, plus if you're old enough to remember Magnum PI - this is the tour for you! The pick up and drop off was quick and efficient with two very enthusiastic guys who put you at ease and give you a quick safety brief on the way to the airport. That speeds things up at the other end as you can pop any loose items in the locker - $1, but make sure you have some quarters - and then it's up, up and away. Make sure that all phones and cameras have straps, a wrist strap will suffice and wear a long sleeve top as you will start to feel the cold from the wind blowing through whilst in the air. Make sure you're camera is fully charged as you'll be snapping so much and with no reflection from any windows, the pictures are amazing, especially of Pearl Harbor from the air.

A really great flight and a really great way to see Oahu! A very comprehensive tour with a really great Pilot and tour guide ....Margot did a fantastic job of flying us around and pointing out in detail, all the points of interest! She really knows Hawaii. After having driven around Oahu and stopped at various beaches and places of interest a helicopter tour is a must for putting all of this into perspective!

We decided to do this helicopter tour to get a quick look around we saw the whole island sacred water falls Jurassic park movie set beautiful coastline majestic mountains and everything else Jim our pilot was funny entertaining and very safe my first time in a helicopter and we go open door loved every minute I'm a helicopter junkie now spend the money and go you won't regret it

The trip was wonderful and our first time in a Helicopter, the pilot, Margot was amazing and very informative. Would love to go again.
