Had a great flight with Brody. My husband hates flying but had to admit, after it was all said and done, that he had a great time.

Unser Pilot Brody war senstionell. Nach einer Sicherheitseinführung sind wir bei wunderschönem Wetter mit dem Soundtrack von Hawaii 50 gestartet. Brody zeigte uns zuerst den Strand von Waikiki und dann fllogen wir über den Krater vom Diamond Head. Die Strände auf der Nordseite waren atemberaubend. Weiter ging es über das Valley. Brody überzeugte mit detaillierten Informationen über die Hollywood Filme, die dort gedreht wurden und ebenso der Gechichte von Hawaii. Zum Schluss sahen wir Pearl Harbour. Insgesamt eine fantastische, sehr informative Tour, die das Geld auf alle Fälle wert war!

Our family took the 60 minute tour yesterday and it was magical. Our pilot, Brody, did a wonderful job. We highly recommend this experience

My first and hopefully not my last helicopter tour was pretty darn terrific. It was a well balanced tour of all the wonderful places this spectacular island has to offer. Our tour guide/pilot/owner, Richard Shuman, is a great story teller as well as knowledgable. The highlight of or vacation!!

We took the hour-long tour of Oahu. It was an awesome, sunny morning with very few high clouds, so we had good views of all of the mountain ranges and good lighting for pictures. Our pilot, Brodi, was a native of Hawaii and had excellent knowledge of everything. He was easy to understand and really friendly, and stayed around after the flight to answer questions. There were six passengers on the flight. The helicopter cabin was comfortable and the flight was smooth. Ground transportation from our hotel and back was provided, and was the best shuttle ride we had in our entire trip. All in all, we couldn't have asked for anything better. It was the memory that will last a life time.

Gran experiencia para ver la isla de Ohau y no quedarse con la visión limitada y menos interesante de waikiki beach. El personal es tremendamente agradable y atento, la sensación de seguridad es máxima, los pilotos grandes expertos con experiencia (si bien es cierto q a veces resulta un poco difícil entenderlos con el ruido del helicóptero y por el acento), las vistas son increíbles y la experiencia única. Altamente recomendable, hizo de mi viaje a la isla una experiencia inolvidable.

I was one of five adults who took a 45-minute helicopter ride around Oahu on 8/2/13. We all enjoyed it tremendously. Everything was handled smoothly and professionally. Our pilot/tour guide, Maggie, was excellent. She gave us great views of all the important sites, made sure we had time to take photographs, and provided a witty, informative description of what we were seeing. The price is a bit steep -- but for all of us, the experience was well worth it. It was a highlight of our week-long stay on the island.

Taking a helicopter ride is an exhilarating experience, and I would highly recommend that everyone tries it somewhere, sometime. Our pilot did an excellent job of flying the aircraft and of maximizing the amazing view for all six passengers aboard, as well as making sure that the camera filming for the DVD (for sale) had a clear view of all of the sites. It was unfortunate that we understood 30% of what he said, at best. I don't know his name, but I was told by Jeff that he had 20 years of flying experience. That's nice, but he had a strong accent and spoke rapidly, and we understood very little. It would have been helpful if a map had been provided so that we could try to follow along by reading the names of the sites as we travelled. I hate to write a negative review, but the pilot did not speak English understandably. I purchased the DVD in hopes that if I watch it several times I will come to understand what the pilot said and how he identified each site.

45 minutes de vol pour faire le tour de l'ile d'Oahu : un souvenir exceptionnel tout d'abord, ils viennent vous chercher et ils vous ramènent à votre hôtel avec leur propre navette ... 100% confort ensuite, vous embarquez en toute sécurité avec un accompagnement très pro et après vous profitez du spectacle c'est la seule solution pour comprendre l'ile en un temps record. vous survolez Waikiki beach puis vous remontez par la cote est jusqu'au North Shore et ensuite vous rentrez par le plateau intérieur avant d'arriver sur Pearl Harbor et la zone de l'aéroport vous allez dans des endroits que vous ne verrez jamais autrement, c'est indescriptible donc je ne vais même pas essayer de traduire tout ce que j'ai vu. quelque chose qui a plu à toute la famille et que chacun gardera en mémoire toute sa vie.

I've been to Hawaii many times, but this helicopter tour was an awesome experience! Brodi knows the island well and was a great guide and pilot. The hour tour is well worth the cost. All of the staff from Makani Kai Helicopters was friendly and personable!

Doors off tour. O. M. G. I had never been in a helicopter before and was quite terrified of doing this especially without doors but hubby really wanted this so I sucked it up. It was an experience of a lifetime. You must see the island from this perspective, it will literally take your breath away!!! It very windy up there, but the pilot was very professional and did a great job controlling the aircraft. He even dips and turns to give you great unobstructed views. It's a 50 minute flight but you'll wish it was longer. He ends by flying the path of the Japanese aircraft on the day of the attack and a flyover of the Arizona that you will never forget. Staff was very professional and their safety first attitude is apparent from the beginning. Do this.... You won't regret it!!!!!

We had a fantastic experience with Makani Kai Helicopters. We wanted to see most possible of the Oahu Island as we had limited time available and booked our flight directly and easily at the hotel. Makani Kai then arranged everything from pick-up, safety briefing/flight, recording your flight experience (and you have the option to purchase this video or not after reviewing it) and finally transport back to hotel. It couldn’t be easier. Depending of the pack you choose, they fly over various parts of the island. We had some EXCEPTIONAL and BREATHTAKING views. What a fantastic way to see the Island. Our highest recommendations for Makani Kai. Very professional service - including a polite and very friendly (and obviously highly skilled) pilot. All thumbs up from us!! :-)

My husband and I booked our Maui vacation in February. One tour I was so interested in was the Damien Tour with Makani Kai Helicopters. I originally booked with Bryson. Well, our flight over was changed approximately one month before our trip and because of our inability to determine how long the drive would take, we missed our flight. We immediately tried to think of different ways to still be able to go on the tour, nothing was working so we had to cancel the Damien Tour, which broke my heart. This was to be the highlight of our tour. Well, I spoke to someone named Chuck who tried so hard to work with me when it was finally decided that we had to cancel. Well, to my overwhelming surprise Chuck was able to refund us nearly all our money. This was not an inexpensive trip and we thought...good-bye money! Chuck said his boss knew of our troubles and how we tried to make it work. I am still unhappy with missing the trip, yet I cannot thank Makani Kai Helicopters enough for their thoughtfulness and understanding. Mahola!
