Just flew with Makani and Brody was our pilot. We had the most amazing view of Sacred falls with the best commentary, I learned so much about the island The pilot really knew his facts.I will definitely be coming back and I highly recommend this is a must-do on your trip to Hawaii. There is no better way to see the island.

We took a 45 minute "doors off" helicopter ride over Oahu and it was awesome! We rode over green mountain tops, got an unforgettable view of the Pearl Harbor Memorial, Waikiki and more. We paid about $235 or so per person so this isn't cheap but it's an experience well worth the price. It IS unnerving at first - but our pilot was a total pro with a calm, soothing manner! DO IT!

My mom booked a 45-minute open door helicopter ride with Makani Kai this past week during our vacation to Waikiki. This instantly became the highlight of our trip! The views are unbelievable - you really get to see the entire island of Oahu in a very unique way, from the starting point on the South all the way to the North Shore beaches and Pearl Harbor. Our pilot was fun, knowledgeable and informative. He and the entire staff made us feel welcomed and safe throughout our experience. The staff was professional, friendly and warm, making the experience truly outstanding. We were picked up right from our hotel and dropped off, and shown a safety video on our ride to the facilities so we were ready to go as soon as we got there. DO THIS if you are in Waikiki!!!

I totally enjoyed my flight ! I was so excited to see all the sights from the helicopter. The young pilot( a fireman also) was so informative about all of the sights he pointed out. I learned so much. He made sure that we had great picture taking views and was very gracious. I am sorry I don't remember his name, but it was one of the best things I did on my visit! I will do it again and again if I have the chance.

Stepped off the helicopter only 30 minutes ago as couldn't wait to share! Brody is informative and makes the ride very comfortable! All staff we experienced are nice and welcoming! We will definitely be back to visit these guys!! Doors off tour was well with it!

The opened door heli-tour was unreal, I was speechless from the amazing views that were viewed on this tour. Brody, the pilot was filled with awesome info of the island and made the trip an even better experience. I highly recommend this company, an awesome service all round and I will definately be returning to Makani Kai Helicopters on my next trip to Oahu. Thanks for the amazing memories team :)

With only a few days to go before we head back to the UK I came across the MAGNUM helicopter experience on the internet. With being such a fan of the show back then we thought "why not". Booked it and choose the First Class as then you get to sit up front with the Pilot :) We were picked up on time outside our Hotel the Iliaki and after picking up a few other people on the way we headed to the Airport. We had watched a safety video on the bus ride so we knew what to do once there. Our pilot " Brodie" was just great! made us feel at ease. Chatted to us about the History of Oahu and pointed out special land marks. With the helicopter having NO DOORS we felt it added to the experience and didn't feel uneasy or scared at all. We were out a good 45 minutes and I must say I felt quite emotional as we went over Pearl Harbour and Brodie was very respectful of not flying over the Arizona Memorial. Wouldn't hesitate in recommending this Magnum Helicopter ride. In fact we both have said when we next come back to Oahu we will do this again!! WELL DONE GUYS for making our 30th Wedding Anniversary trip an experience to treasure. Aloha Sharon & Danny xx

What an amazing experience! Our pilot Jeff obviously knew the island and pointed out all the sites as we flew. It was such a fun and exciting way to see the island!

We had a thrilling helicopter experience with Makani Kai Helicopters a couple of years ago and when we heard they now have a new exciting flight in the form of the Magnum PI doors off helicopter ride, my wife and I decided we cannot miss out on this special thrill. We opted for the first class paying that little bit extra ($270.00 per adult) and we get guaranteed seat at the front next to the pilot. This 45 mins experience is not for the faint hearted but is worth every cent. Brodie, our pilot is very experienced , knowledgeable and certainly knows how to give his passengers the best of the very best. He explains every aspect of where he is taking us , the history behind whatever he is talking about and engages his passengers , answering any questions. Thank you , Brodie . Our flight with you was the icing on our wedding anniversary celebration Cake. Memories captured and we will cherish forever. You gave 110% and hope you are still there when we next visit. We strongly recommend this experience to anyone looking for unique thrilling adventure. Not to be missed. We are glad we did and a week later we are still on cloud nine!

Our concierge highly recommended this helicopter tour over the other and my wife and I now know why, from start to finish the whole experience was amazing. One early recommendation is to do what we did and pay the extra $50 a head and book from seats, it's really worth it. We were picked up by the very friendly and really nice Vincent, he obviously loves his job and told us all about our amazing experience we were due to have. On arrival at the base we straight away put on our life vests and waiting for us was Pilot Brody in the helicopter, once strapped in our journey began. The hour went so quickly, Brody flew us over all the islands main points and gave us a great running commentary, as a native of Honolulu and a man who served in the marines his commentary was exact and when it came it Pearl Harbour extremely respectful, we throughly enjoy the trip and can highly recommend this tour over all others. Thank you Brody and Vincent and well done it the owners of this business for keeping their staff happy and loyal.

When I arrived to Honolulu I kept seeing the Helicopters flying above the ocean and thought that would be a great experience. Not knowing if I will ever make it back to Hawaii, I went to the activities desk of Hale Koa for information. I knew I wanted the doors off, if you're gonna go GO BIG!! Part of why I booked so fast was the shuttle, I wouldn't have to drive in the traffic! The drive was friendly and told me about other sights to see while I was there. Jeff was our tour guide, and I tell everyone how great he was, loved his humor and knowledge of the land. Creeping over the mountain was so cool! Having the doors off was a total rush! I told everyone I met about this experience and that they need to do it! I went back and told the Hale Koa activities planners that it was awesome and to tell everyone to try it!!

Une heure où l'on en prend plein les yeux non-stop!!! Survol de Waïkiki Beach, Diamond Head, Hanauma Bay, Ce tour de l'île nous permet de découvrir tous les trésors naturels qu'elle possède: des récifs coralliens aux forêts luxuriantes, que du bonheur!!! Le spectacle est à son paroxysme lorsqu'on survole la zone où a été tourné Jurassic Park. Seul bémol, on a pu voir la grande cascade de loin seulement car il y avait déjà un autre hélicoptère sur place et on ne pouvait plus passer, mais bon, cela ne gâche rien et peut-être que vous serez plus chanceux que moi. Evidemment, à recommander.

On 9/25 we had an afternoon tour scheduled and it was unexpectedly fouled by the Blue Angels practice schedule- after the miserable drive in traffic!! With us returning home the next day we expressed disappointment at being unable to enjoy this experience. The "man in charge" rose to the occasion and made it happen! We were so lucky to ride in the smaller Magnum PI doorless helo! It was so thrilling and was even better than I imagined.

we did the 40 minute trip and really enjoyed it, thought I would be sick but made it back with stomach contents intact,fly all over the island and pearl harbour etc , really made our holiday
