Years ago, I had taken a helicopter tour over the volcano on the Big Island. I hadn't planned on booking a Maui trip, but the photos looked so amazing that I chose the West Maui and Molokai tour. Bruno was our Brazilian/American pilot, and he was not only a great pilot, but he was very knowledgeable about the history and geology of the islands. There were five of us on our tour, and Bruno encouraged us to use our mics to ask questions. We had a delightful 12 year old girl, Charlie, on our trip, and she asked some great questions (and gave an impromptu critique of of Christian Grey's seduction of Anastasia [she compared it to a cult indoctrination, lol], which prompted me to ask, "how old are you???") The views of Molokai's waterfalls, valleys, and mountains were spectacular. Bruno made sure to circle around so that we could all get a great view. I highly recommend this exciting adventure.

Blue Hawaiian Helicopters is one of the top Helicopter companies in the Hawaiian Islands. We went on their top end Eco Star and this was an excellent experience. The seats were comfortable, we had two way mic's to talk to the pilot and you really can't ask for a better Backdrop then the West Maui Mountains and the Sea Cliffs of Molokai. I filmed for Expedia for 3 years in HD, filming all of the most popular Tours in Hawaii and the helicopter flight of the West Maui and Molokai remain one of my favorite scenic flight anywhere in the Hawaiian Islands. I was able to fly with my Sister in Law and she loved the flight too. The Eco Star has more glass and view area vs the A- Star. It also is alot quieter and has more elbow room and comfort. The West Maui Mountains has the 2nd wettest spot on Earth inside with and Area called the Wall of Tears. The ocean as you leave the heliport is an aqua blue, and then turns a deep blue as you cross the channel of Molokai. During whale season you can see whales breaching from the air too! Molokai has 3300 foot sea cliffs the worlds tallest and the 2nd tallest waterfall in the USA behind Yosemite falls. But seeing this two level waterfall head on, is jaw dropping. This is about the only way you could see this waterfall. Add in the longest reef in Hawaii, over 25 miles long with all kinds of sea life, and more waterfalls running down some of the sea cliffs and you have one of the most scenic backdrops anywhere on Earth! I highly recommend Blue Hawaiian Helicopters and their excellent pilot's and team for a bucket list moment while you are vacationing in paradise.

We booked this activity for our last day on Maui. After seeing almost the whole island by either car or boat, we thought this would be a great way to end our trip. We were blown away and highly suggest this activity for everybody! The sights we were able to see were beautiful. Derek gave great information and after finding out we were from Ohio, let us know of Buckeye bar we needed to visit before leaving the island. Cannot recommend this enough!

Our family (6 people) filled one of the large helicopters for a tour of west Maui and Molokai. Arrived on time, short 5 minute or so safety briefing, provided fanny-pack style inflatable life vests and then waited 25 minutes or so until our reservation time. I guess they build in time because we could have arrived a half hour after the requested arrival time and still been ready to go at the reservation time. Boarded on time. Immediately took off and went up the coast of Maui and across to Molokai. Flew around the south part of Molokai. Excellent information provided by pilot regarding what we were seeing etc. Beautiful and interesting views over the top of the south side of Molokai and along some of the other coast and then across to Maui and up into the crater of the West side of Maui and then out and down to the airport. About 45 minutes - just the right amount of time by our estimation. The only negative was they had us pose for a picture by the helicopter beforehand and then wanted to charge a ridiculous price ($40 or so) for a copy. Last year on a similar tour in Kauai, the company offered to take a group picture on our phone. Given the price of the tour, this ridiculous photo offer was offensive.

We took the Dawn Patrol tour with Rick, our pilot. The tour was so beautiful, informative, and breath taking! Landed on mountain for pictures and champagne! What a way to start the day!

I've always wanted to fly in a helicopter so Lisa Elite Concierge recommended this particular service. It was so amazing, exciting and something to see. I recommend anyone wanting a better view of Hawaii to try this. I just love love loved it.

My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed the West Maui and Molokai Helicopter tour. Our pilot was professional and knowledgeable amount many of the sights, stories and especially the legends associated with what we saw. I especially appreciated being able to see "inside" Molokai and parts of the island not easily accessible any other way. A tremendous experience.

We booked this tour as a special tour that would provide a 90 minute tour for the price of the 45 minute tour. It was a windy, rainy day and we were told that the helicopter would not do the special landing. We were not told (nor were the other couple travelling with us) that it would be a shortened trip. So when we were back at the airport 40 minutes after we took off we were all surprised, When we question the staff in the office they told us it was complementary anyway so we had nothing to complain about and that our agent should have told us that the complementary part could be cancelled We and the other couple felt the staff was rude and dismissive and it put a very negative twist on our trip. Having said all that, the shortened ride was quite spectacular. We didn't see much of Maui but the Mokekai part was amazing due to the immense amount of rain. Rick was a great and informative pilot.

Stunning. Maui and Molokai from above are just stunning. Blue Hawaii was very professional. They have the whole process down to a science. Felt like they were very safety conscious too. We had some questions going into the ride because I am big into photography and my wife is pregnant. They responded to my email by calling and discussing everything with me personally. I very much appreciate that. Mike, our pilot, was also very knowledgable and very nimble with his helicopter. We made some thrilling maneuvers at times to see whales, but it was a lot of fun! Speaking of whales, we saw probably ten whales coming past Lahaina. The whale watching tour was great, but being able to see the entire whale from above is something I will never forget.

We booked a few weeks ahead during busy season and there were only two seats left that would work in our time frame! So glad we didn't wait to try to get seats while there! (though you can try that, in case someone has cancelled) Even though this was a somewhat rainy, cloudy, sometimes windy day, the rain allowed the waterfalls to show up all over Molokai. It was so beautiful! Our pilot, Derek?, was good about checking on us all as to air sickness, etc., with the ride and the wind. He had lots of information for us and encouraged questions. He also tried to make sure both sides of the helicopter had a view of the scenery, making passes in both directions when possible. A couple of us had a little bit of a hard time hearing, (not sure if it was the headset or user error), but the scenery was plenty. We even saw a couple whales from above, and rainbows! What a whale watch experience that is! Because of the limited access to Molokai, our opinion is this is the best way to see it. FYI: There is a fee to park at the heliport. It was $5 (credit cards accepted) when we were there, for enough time for our 45 min. flight and all the extra time in prep and safety instruction. You are allowed to bring your camera(s)/phone to take pictures during the flight, but Blue Hawaiian doesn't allow purses or bags on the flight. They have free lockers for you to use though. Just don't forget to get your stuff back out when you return! They video your flight and make it available for purchase after you land. It has views unencumbered by windows, people and reflections. They also have envelopes after landing that you can write a note to your pilot, and/or include a tip for the pilot.

Great trip! Made reservations only a few days before and took a morning trip and it was perfect! Every person we saw and dealt with was personable, friendly, very polite and generally happy. Gernot was our pilot and he was great! He made our trip very enjoyable, we saw whales, turtles, gorgeous landscapes and beautiful waterfalls. I wish I’d told him that the men I was with were all hard of hearing. They told me after the trip they weren’t unable to understand him through their headsets. We all had a wonderful time and enjoyed everyone involved Blue Hawaiian!

We had an amazing experience on this tour. The views are fantastic. We felt very comfortable and safe with our pilot Tim. It's the perfect length, especially if you're a little unsure of being in a helicopter. I would recommend this tour to anyone.

This was our first time on a helicopter and it did not disappoint. We saw some breathtaking views of Maui and Molokai, including waterfalls, rain forest canopies, rivers, reefs, and stingrays (the ocean was super clear). The helicopter was very open so we could see out of all sides. We would highly recommend this tour to anyone.

It was a fairly smooth ride but all passengers do not get a great view if sitting in the back. We sat too close to the other passengers Would be better if there were only 2 passengers in the back due to covid.this tour was just average. We saw a few waterfalls but should have done the tour that flew over Hana. It would have been more exciting and scenic and well worth the additional cost
