The pilot was kind, informative, and amazing. However, the woman that greeted us/checked us in was very rude. We had a check in time ant 1:25pm and and a flight time that was scheduled an hour later, 2:25pm. We arrived 10 minutes past the check in time and was immediately informed that we were late and supposed to be there 10 minutes ago…in front of all of the other guests. We were quickly weighed and ushered to watch a safety video. We took off at 1:55pm, 30 minutes before our flight was scheduled to leave. This woman did not smile and was not kind to us the entire time welcoming , preparing us for the trip, or when we returned. If she had possibly inquired, she would know that we left directly from another excursion to support this island and was late because we got a bit lost and the building is not well designated. This woman did not make us feel welcome or wanted at all…she did make us feel embarrassed and ashamed, though.

Amazing. A must if you visit Hawaii! A professional well run organization. They are all so nice and helpful. The flight takes you to places you will never be able to see on land. Breath taking views! Sean our pilot was fabulous. Thank you Blue Hawaii for a lifetime of memories!

An awesome flight in every way! Our pilot Bastian was extremely knowledgeable and pointed out all the fascinating sites. Plus, he answered my many questions :-) above all, I felt very safe flying with him as he seemed extremely experienced in capable. I can’t wait till my next flight with Blue Helicopter!!!

Great staff, great equipment. Note that the Hilo run is rather limited. If you have time (and $) go for the Big Island Spectacular tour.

Blue Hawaiian Helicopters is very professional operation. At no fault of theirs we were unable to go in the direction of the volcano due to the weather. Shane was full of knowledge during our trip and a very approachable pilot. After doing the helicopter tour on Kauai I was a little disappointed in the value of our adventure on the big island. If you are visiting both Islands and only doing one helicopter journey, I would suggest Kauai for the sites and cost. Buying the video is a good option, but the quality could be much improved. (Posted photo) The color quality is not so great. All said, you will definitely have a very memorable experience on Blue Hawaiian Helicopters!

I've made the "Discover Hilo" tour with this company in the April 2025. It weren't just the great views only. It was very interesting and knowledgeable story of the Island 8)

Chewy did a great job with the tour! And Blue Hawaiian was very gracious with our arrival. The waterfall tour was super fun! Highly recommend!

The only way to see Hawaii. Make sure you get Kaj Loken-Kim as you pilot. He is awesome!!!

Took a ride along the Kona coast the last day were in Hawaii. My wife's scared of heights and she had an amazing time! Would 100% recommend this to anyone!

Great narration, FABULOUS PLAY LIST, and a very smooth ride. Beautiful, we got to see all the high points! Greg was a knowledgeable pilot and host!
