Epic! So much fun. Seeing the untouched wilderness was amazing. Th landing by the waterfall was the best part.

The tour was way beyond our expectations. We really enjoyed the volcano part of the tour by seeing a view of the craters and lava flow only available by air. The tour took on a whole different turn on the east side of the Island. Viewing waterfalls and a dramatic coast line was amazing but the best was when we landed in a small grassy area next to a waterfall.

We did the volcano ring  tour first thing in the morning. This was the recommended place for a helicopter view of the volcano and the pricing was the best I found. We really liked our pilot Wesley who was exceptional. Safety protocols were visibly followed and he was extremely personable and shared a lot of information with us. Seating was 4 people in the back and 2 up front next to the pilot. It is based on weight distribution so there is no request for a specific seat. Dark clothing is recommended and it definitely does impact the glare off the glass. Although it was not included with our paid package the pilot took us to some waterfalls that were great to look at and provided a sticker at the end that he had personally drawn of helicopter and volcano which was a nice souvenir and we were also given a blue hawaiian tote bag that will get use.  One star taken because we drove from Kona for first flight of the day and were told to arrive at 7:15 am for the 8 am flight so we left at 5:15 am and when we walked in at 7:15 there were no staff visible for awhile and the others booked for the flight were wandering around looking for staff. We then were greeted and taken in to see a safety video which was followed by another 30 minutes or so of waiting for the helicopter to arrive so we got into the air a lot later than expected. Take that into consideration when making plans. I have to say that I had some difficulty with glare on the glass from both sun and clothing of other passengers that I did not experience while doing a doors off helicopter experience on another island with a different company so if photography is important for you it may be worth looking for that option but for the price and the quality of the pilot I would say this is a great option on the Big Island.

Mark was such an awesome pilot and very knowledgeable. The tour was just amazing and we got to see parts of the island you can’t without being on this tour.

We did the Circle of Fire tour out of Hilo, and it was worth every penny! Great customer service, Wesley was a wonderful pilot and guide, and you see the landscape from an amazing vantage point. We were nervous first-time helicopter passengers, and the crew put us completely at ease. Definitely our top vacation experience!
