First Time, It was Fantastic
Overall I thought it was a fantastic tour. The pilot was informative, the staff overall was very friendly and the helicoptor/facility modern and well-maintained. I have never been in a helicoptor before and it was definitely a memmorable first experience...one which I will be sure to repeat. The only reason why I didn't give a five star rating was because I feel that my seat in the helicoptor had the worst view with the exception of probably my boyfriend's seat. We were in the rear right of the helicoptor and as the bulk of the flight keeps the shoreline on the leftside of the helicoptor, we had far fewer opportunities to take photos. I did get to view a lot of ocean expanse, but a lot of the interesting things to look at like the seacliffs were primarily only for the left side of the cockpit to gawk at. The right front of the plane can look at the sights straight ahead. The pilot did hover and circle twice for us to view a waterfall as well as the fishing shore area but overall, I was envious of the people sitting in the front and left of the helicoptor. I wish there were a way to even out the viewing experience. I would have been more than happy to pay more to sit on the left (or side (or front) and in fact, my Expedia Travel rep had said she would request front seats for us. That didn't happen, perhaps because of weight distribution reasons, which is okay, but then I wish there were a warning that the right side just has fewer opportunities to take photos...I kept thinking at some point the pilot would reverse directions and we'd fly back with the coast on the right side so I could take photos. Or, perhaps right side seats should be cheaper. Anyway, sorry for the long message...I really was pleased overall with my experience. I just didn't expect there to be a noticeable difference between where one's seat was in terms of viewing oppotunity. Oh, and this is totally not Hawaii/Blue Hawaiian Helicoptor's fault, but the man who sat in front of me wore a white long sleeve shirt and as a result, at least half of my photos will be ruined/not usuable because of the reflection/glare. It would be nice when people booked the trip that a rep could *strongly* warn them to not wear white, or maybe there could be reusable dark jackets here for people to wear during the flight. I was pretty sad that I had less photos than most of the other people in the helicoptor and now at least half of them won't be viable since there's a giant white sleeve in all of them. In all sincerity, thanks for giving me a beautiful and memorable trip though. I do look forward to repeating the experience, just with better knowledge of where to sit. =) Thanks, Helen
We went on the West Maui and Molokai trip. The pilot really knew his stuff and was a fountain of information. The scenery is beautiful, and I would recommend this trip to anyone.
First time on a helicopter and it was a terrific experience. Eric was a great pilot and gave us a lot of information along the way as well as made it fun. Next time I am in Hawaii, I will be taking another tour of an island with Blue Hawaiian Helicopters.

I had a great time. Our pilot was very friendly and knew a lot about the Island and the history. Great views of the waterfalls. I'd recommend this experience. First helicopter flight, first time seeing lava and vents, first time on the big Island - checked off the bucket list!
This tour by Brandon surpassed our expectations! It was worth every penny. Fabulous! We couldn't imagine the beauty of this island. Mahalo
