Ethan was our pilot. What a great guy. He made us feel so comfortable and was diligent in checking how we were doing through the turns. We saw a great hot new stream of lava flowing and were interested to hear that the silver metallic areas are actually flowing as well, just not as hot. The Queen's Bath - what is left of it, was wild, seeing the lava surround it. Ethan gave us lots of historical notes and talked about the numbers of homes lost to Kilaeua over the past several decades. Then, heading back to the airport, over the most spectacular water falls, I was surprised by the topography and the amount of water coming from Mona Loa. I live in L.A. and noticed the shortage of swimming pools on our tour! More ecologically inclined, every household has a cistern to catch the great water that falls from the sky. Just beautiful. Breathtaking. Thank you.
Amazing experience! Really, the only way to see all that makes Kauai one of the most beautiful places on Earth. Pilot Barrett was terrific in explaining the backstory of all the amazing scenery we saw, and clearly knows Kauai well. Hope to come back and do it again soon!

Amazing views... Only way to see the island
We had a great time on the helicopter tour. The trip was very informative, and we also learned a lot about the geological aspects of this island. Only wish the trip could have lasted longer!
