What an amazing tour! Scott was a great pilot and guide! I would recommend the tour to anyone and everyone.
I was more excited at pre-flight than any human has any right to be. :) This was my first-ever time in a helicopter, first time on the Big Island, and I got to share it with Marty Falatic (the other person in my party and my best friend). To be able to see the island from this vantage point was unforgettable. Then, to be able to return unscathed in the very capable hands of our pilot, Mark...well, I have nothing but praise for him and the rest of the Blue Hawaiian Helicopters crew. Awesome flight around the volcano. Pilot Mark was very helpfull and informative. would definately recommend this tour to anyone visiting Hawaii
It was an amazong flight! We got to see red lava, the vastness of the volcanic plains and beautiful forests and waterfalls. Well-worthwhile! :-)

Well organized, good customer service and an excellent pilot all made this a great experience. However, please consider making dark clothing mandatory, or having a light, dark shirt available that passengers can put over light shirts. The gentleman in the front row outside, wore a white shirt and that made it impossible for me to take photos out of my side of the aircraft because of the reflection. So, not only did he get the best seats in the helicopter, but he ruined photo ops for the rest of us.

Exciting! This was definately an exciting experience. We were able to see so many things we could not see without the helicopter tour.
Scott was an awesome pilot. He took us to some remote places that you could not visit otherwise due to them being located on private land. We got to see an active lava flow coming out of one of the lava tubes as well. I flew in the eco-star and it was well worth the extra expense for the viewing space available.
