Great flight with our pilot Mark! It had been a nearly cloudless day on the Hilo side of the island until shortly before our 4:00pm flight, but only a brief shower during our flight. Great view over the current lava flows and then over to the water falls. Very nice & well worth it.
Rick did a great job - took lots of time to point out interesting things and lots of history.

BEAUTIFUL VIEWS AND FRIENDLY SERVICE FROM GROUND STAFF. CAPTAIN BARRETT HAD THE PREFECT BLEND OF HUMOR, LOCAL KNOWLEDGE AND SILENCE AT ALL THE RIGHT MOMENTS. THE ONLY THING I WOULD CHANGE IS SOME OF THE MUSIC. ITS A BIT MUCH AT TIMES. SILENCE CAN BE GOLDEN. OTHER THAN THAT, EVERYTHING WAS PERFECT.
It was a very exciting and interesting flight with Blue Hawaiian Helicopters.
An amazing, breathtaking experience.Our pilot, Shane, was terrific and provided a great commentry filled with lots of facts and info. He was also very accommodating to our 7 year old son Angus, and was sure to bank his way whenever he asked :). It was the highlight of our trip, and give it the highest possible recommendation.
