Our pilot, Tim, was great! He answered all of our questions and pointed out all interesting features of the island coast and inland areas. We were particularly fascinated by the regions of land where the active lava flows hit the ocean and Tim maneuvered the craft skillfully around the steam vents. Wesley was our helicopter driver. We got to see lava entering the ocean. We weren't able to go over the top of the volcano due to the weather, but Wesley did a good job of showing us different areas of lava flow.

If the tour is cancelled for technical reasons, the checked-in traveler should be given the priority over later tour slots/traveler who has not checked in. It is not ideal to force checked-in traveler to take available slots later in the day or following day. Thanks.
