We had planned to take Helicopter ride to observe Kilaeau Volcano from top.The day started with bad news that heavy clouds cover forced cancellation of flight.However,by afternoon,the sky cleared up & we were accomdated in another flight to volcano.It was one of the most memorable experience,thanks to good Helicopter & skillful Pilot -Capt Gregg,who manouvered the ride as to provide a clear view of erupting Volcanoe,Lave flowing on the slopes & than Lava discharging in to sea,causing huge clouds of Steam.The Pilot ensured that each passenger sitting in the cabin had clear view of scene on the ground.Good comdition pf Helicopter was added benefit.The ride also flew full 45 mins as promised.All in all,a lifetime memorable experience,thanks to Blue Hawaiin Helicopters & their staff with special appreciation to Capt Gregg.

This was an amazing helicopter company. We took a Big Island Adventure ride over to the volcano, the Hilo area, waterfalls, and the northern part of the island. Would recommend you make sure this is a part of your vacation!

Great tour! Chris was a great pilot. He communicated with the group and was personable to all ages. He circled the best sites multiple times so that everyone in the helicopter got a good view. They assign seats to balance the helicopter. The itinerary is counter clockwise around the island (Oahu tour) so the port-side seats have an advantage at the beginning of the trip. The second half covers mostly interior island and North Shore so no view issues from any window. Helicopters are Airbus EcoStar; an expensive, safe and high reliability solution for any touring organization. As far as helicopter tours go (and this isn't my first) these guys have it figured out!

We had a great experience on our helicopter tour! It was a little rainy at first, but we ended up getting to see rainbows while we were in the air which was amazing. We got to see a LOT of Kauai and all of its natural beauty. Out of all of the things we did while we were on the island this was the favorite activity of both of our teenagers. Our pilot was great, very professional and did a great job answering our questions.

Highly recommend- book for the start of your trip in case you have to reschedule due to weather- easy to reschedule for future dates. Best way to familiarize yourself with the island as well!

Our 12/23/16 tour skipped Sacred Falls, Mokoliʻi, Nuuanu Valley.... basically all of the most striking features advertised (in my opinion). Had I been told in advance I would have rescheduled / cancelled. Half the tour for full price. Something I've always wanted to do left me very disappointed.

Leuk om met een helikopter boven een actieve vulkaan te vliegen. Je kunt vanuit de lucht goed zien hoe de lava (veelal ondergronds) zich een weg baant door de bossen. Daarnaast zie je ook mooie watervallen van bovenaf. Helaas zijn er op dit moment geen lavastromen te zien, maar slechts een aantal gaten in de grond waar lava onder stroomt. Het is wel vrij prijzig, rond de $ 200 voor 45 minuten.

This was a great experience. We all felt very safe and were surprised at how much of the island is still untouched. Outstanding coverage of the whole island and awesome scenes that you can’t imagine otherwise. The pilot gave us insightful information on where to go next and what to see. I recommend this trip to anyone as a must do for any Hawaii visit.

all services as promised, when promised. The $25 DVD is a good buy if your in the seat beside the pilot. (1 in 6 odds). Weight limit of 250 lbs per passenger before they start charging additional fees. Shuttle transportation not included, but easy to arrange.

Awesome experience. Lava, waterfalls, comfortable ride with a really nice pilot named Greg. Highly recommend. Worth the money.

Breathtaking views and a very informative guide. Also very reasonably priced. I would go on another tour with Blue Hawaiian Helicopters in a heartbeat!

Pretty awesome ride! Probably more scenic on Kauai.

My husband and I were 45 minutes late to our check in time and we received a free upgrade! When we got there they told us that we received a complimentary upgrade so that instead of the 30 min flight over West Maui we would have a 50 min flight over West Maui and Molakai. When we got out to the helicopter the helper offered to take pictures with everyone's phones in front of the helicopter, so that was really nice. It was really windy that day so there was a lot of turbulence, but that couldn't really be helped. The pilot, Emmery, was very nice, and had interesting commentary about what we were seeing. He actually gave us an extra 10 minutes on our ride. This is definitely one thing you have to try once in your lifetime and I would recommend going with this company.
