husband booked this trip for me as a surprise......wow, was i surprised, i really didn't want to go at all!!!!! he's a retired police officer and has been in helicopters his entire career......me, never. so, when i knew i was going alone, i was apprehensive. i was forturnate to get seat #2, which is the exit seating. well, our pilot, scott, was retired military, so i felt i was in good hands. the trip was phenomenal. the 1st thing i said to my husband was, "when we come back next year, you have got to do this". the whole staff at blue hawaiian is fabulous. they all want you to have a memorable trip around beautiful kauai. would highly recommend them.

Eli was our pilot, he made the trip more interesting informing us about life on the island. He knew a lot about the volcano, he gave safety tips for hikers and was very knowledgeable about the area. His calm demeanor and skill helped ease my fear of first trip in a helicopter.

My partner and daughter went on our first helicopter flight this week. We had wonderful service from the staff. We were picked up from hotel and check in was easy. Loren was a fantastic pilot. Very funny. My daughter and I got the best seats in the house. My daughter loved it till she got sick from a bit of turbulence. Loren was very kind, trying to distract her, make her laugh. You get incredible views and it was amaxing having all the sites pointed out. But it is quite daunting being in a helicopter. But well worth it in the long run. Thanks so much for looking after us.

See current and past volcanic activity from the air. Add a few waterfalls and farms. See trees starting on lava a locals rebuilding on hard lave where the home was wiped out.

My husband booked this as a surprise when we were in Kona a couple of weeks ago. As others have said, the Big Island is stunning and I was a bit overwhelmed at the entire experience. Greg "Go" was a great pilot/tour guide and very knowledgeable in all aspects of the tour. It was great that we could communicate with him when we had questions. We had a bit of rain, but he went around it and with the rain, came MANY rainbows and we were blessed to see full circle and double full circle rainbows. Go said he was going to rename our tour " the rainbow tour". His music and song selections really added to the trip. I won't spoil it, but the movie theme song ROCKED and was the prefect song to start the trip with! The music really set the tone....giving both excitement and tranquility. The volcanos, waterfalls, shoreline, macadamia trees, small towns, Hilo....all wonderful to see from that perspective. Thank you, Go for such an amazing morning. It was one of the highlights of our trip to Hawaii!

Going to Hawai'i has always been my dream and it finally came true for my 30th birthday. After being disappointed with many of things and I truly mean many of things. The last day there I decided I wasn't leaving without seeing the true Hawai'i I've always dreamed of and boy was it totally worth it! From the time we were picked up from our hotel to the time we were dropped off Shawn was so accommodating and personal with all of us on our ride. Our pilot Jeanette totally rocked man! She must truly love her job! We just had to ask about her, as she knew so much information and showed us basically everything there was to do on the island. I'm so thankful I made the choice to fly with Blue Hawaiian Helicopters (Oahu) as it made my whole trip worthwhile and meaningful. I can only hope someone else will be as Blessed as we were to have Shawn and Jeanette make their dreams come true also. Thank you both from the bottom of my heart for making my dream come true!

I am telling everyone that it is a must do activity when you visit Hawaii. It's the only way to see all the beauty of the island. We took 2 helicopter tours. One on Kauai and one on Kona. Both were spectacular! The canyons, volcanos and water falls were breathtaking! Marlin at the front desk was very helpful. Marty and Shane our Pilots were very experienced and knowledgeable. I would recommend not taking pictures or videos and just enjoy the experience because they sell the video of your flight. I bought the video for each flight I took. The video is professional because the cameras are on gyros so there is no movement in the video. It records everything that is said so you hear all about what you are seeing and it's all set to music. I have been playing it for friends when they come over and they love it.

From the very beginning this experience has us at hello. Friendly and helpful staff. We had a wonderful pilot named Mark who we felt very safe with. He gave us amazing views from all sides and a great narration of what we were seeing I highly recommend This team. Oh and as a bonus, after we got home and I went thru my pictures I found this amazing photo of a face in the Napali coastal area. What a gift. Thank you!!

I just got back from a 48 day cruise to Hawaii and the South Pacific. Our helicopter tour was one of the highlights of our entire cruise! Everyone was exceptionally professional and courteous and did everything to make our experience unforgettable. Our pilot, Ethan was fantastic. He made sure all of us got amazing pictures of the lava fields, craters, lava and also the forests and waterfalls. We loved Ethan! I highly recommend Blue Hawaiian for a trip within a trip that is truly wonderful.

Highly recommend- book for the start of your trip in case you have to reschedule due to weather- easy to reschedule for future dates. Best way to familiarize yourself with the island as well!

Superb tour! Excellent pilot/tour guide. This is a top-notch operation with no detail overlooked. I really liked the narration provided on headsets during the flight which included music as you fly over all the interesting sites. Close ups of the waterfalls, volcanoes, and other significant sites made the two hour trip seem to be over in a snap! I loved the final approach to the airport as the music was "Ol Sachmo" singing "It's a Wonderful Life."

This was really a trip of a lifetime!!!!! Loved every minute of it!!! This was on mom's bucketlist, first time in a helicoptor, didn't know what to expect and was so very well surprized and pleased. Really from start to finish all were very professional, kind and informative, answered all of our silly questions (I bet you get them all the time). Just beware the little platform at the counter ...it's a scale holy moly the weight you put on while vacationing lol. Just was a little shocked after paying over $860.00 for 4 people that the photo plaque was not included.

Highly recommend this for anyone. I know all of the pilots are great, but I can't imagine any could be better than Eric. He was knowledgeable, personable and assuring. It's not cheap, but it's worth every penny!

I never knew how beautiful a helicopter tour could be . I took my boyfriend for his birthday and he is homebody . He big guy too but they where able to accommodate us. We had a great pilot and fell extremely safe . Pictures don't do it justice.

Well worth the money, even on a rainy day. Loved the tour and would do it again. Everyone involved in in the tour was pleasant, from the pilot to the shuttle driver. Great time??!
