We really enjoyed our experience with Blue Hawwian Helicopters!! Our Pilot Brody made is interesting and fun!! There was interaction on board many times and made us feel included and special! We highly recommend this amazing adventure!! we felt very safe and will definatly do it again!! The scenery was unbelievable, breath taking and glorious!!!

We chose the Circle of Fire plus Waterfalls tour on an Eco-Star while we were in Hawaii so we could see the active lava flows. Our day started with a quick check-in process and safety presentation. The presentation was short, easy to follow and showed safety is a priority with Blue Hawaiian. Whew! Next we were off to the tarmac and into the helicopter where the staff helped everyone take pictures with the helicopter and assisted each of us aboard. The Eco-Star helicopters have air-conditioning and are very comfortable. The best views of course are up front with the pilot, who was informative and friendly. The back window seats also have good views and the pilot we had turned the helicopter so both sides of the aircraft could see the same locations. The two middle seats are not the best, but you can definitely still see the sites. Thank you husband for letting me have the window seat. <3 I would say the best seat if you’re not in front, is the window seat behind the pilot so you’re sure to see most of what he’s seeing. Although, as I mentioned earlier, our pilot was careful to turn the craft so both sides saw the same sites. I was seated in the back, by the window, but NOT behind the pilot, and he did miss my side once for a second time around view…just say’in. I felt safe and comfortable during the entire flight and my husband and I both enjoyed a relaxing beautiful tour. RECOMMENDATION #1: I would suggest to anyone thinking of using a GoPro for pictures during their ride…bring a camera or use your phone camera as well. We used our GoPro most of the ride and unfortunately due to the inability to zoom in, the pictures were not as good as they could have been had I used my phones camera for closer shots. Waah! In hindsight, I probably would forget taking pictures and just buy the DVD from Blue Hawaiian at the end of your flight. Enjoy your magnificent ride and scenery instead. RECOMMENDATION #2: If you are wishing to see waterfalls, book a different tour unless you want to look at them from FAR above! Sorry Blue Hawaiian, but I was TRULY disappointed in the “Plus Waterfalls” portion of your tour. Had I not been on a catamaran tour earlier in our trip, I would have complained the minute we got back on the ground. We got closer to them driving to look out points or seeing them by boat. Not that there is any false advertising on the Blue Hawaiian website or anything…I just think they should leave the “Plus Waterfalls” bit off the tour description unless it’s clarified that it’s more a “Plus flying over from WAY above waterfalls tour.” I say under promise and over deliver is the best route here. Take that out of the tour description and people will be pleasantly surprised. RECOMMENDATION #3: Parking…Blue Hawaiian is AT the airport, next to the airline ticket counters if you depart from Hilo as we did, so you have to pay for parking. Or…I believe you can park in the lot next door where “the other” helicopter tour leaves from for free and walk 50 feet to Blue Hawaiian. I felt like that was kind of cheating though and it is Hawaii, so I would say just pay for parking. It wasn’t bad…$5-$7. The Blue Hawaiian employees were very friendly, professional, welcoming and cared about the satisfaction of their customers. I felt safe and comfortable during the entire flight, and my husband and I both enjoyed a relaxing beautiful tour. Thank you Blue Hawaiian!

We did this tour yesterday and it was the highlight of our trip. Shay was our pilot and he did and excellent job of showing us the island. Most of the island isn't accessible by car so this is the best way to see it. We were on the NCL cruise ship, but I booked this directly with Blue Hawaiian ( you will save a lot of money vs booking through the cruise ship). They also provided transportation to and from the port.

There is not best way to see Kauia than with an helicopter tour. I loved the view and all the information the pilot was sharing with us. It´s expensive but it´s worth it. Maybe they should just improve the service at the entrance of the base.

We, a family with childrens of 11 month, 4 and 6 years, flight with Marty our pilot. He did a very professional job.

If you want to experience a little piece of Heaven, I recommend doing the 2Hour tour, and pay the xtra for your video take home memories, its priceless you won't be disappointed at all!! Greg O was our Captain/Pilot he was Amazing, he was very informative and funny. I will never forget it!! Amazing We saw active volcanoes Amazing Mountains and Gorgeous waterfalls & Breath taking views. We also saw 3 different rainbows.

Going up in a helicopter has been on my bucket list for a while. I was finally convinced to go on one by Blue Hawaiian. All I can say is "WOW!" It felt like you weren't even moving, the ride is so smooth. All the while you are listening to great music, choreographed to the areas you are flying over. We say active volcano lava, farms. valleys, so much. I couldn't stop smiling!

We took the 45 minute round island tour and weren't disappointed - the pre flight briefing and boarding was really professional and reassuring Julie our pilot was very professional and knowledgeable on the geography and history with great tv and movie links Well worth the $$$

What a fascinating way to see the island. Very expensive but worth it. They weigh you to put you evenly on plan. My son and mom weighed close. I asked them to switch because wanted to take pictures of both my husband and sons in back. The pilot was rude and I asked again and finally they allowed it. If I am paying $1,000 for party of five should be made aware of seating before last minute. I am very happy I was persistent because got great pictures by turning around at them. The helicopter was super to see the whole island. Its the best way to see Arizona. They take your picture before and you can buy it when you return. It turned out great so I bought it. I also got tshirts would highly recommend to remember day by. You can purchase video but too pricey. Wish they sold Christmas ornaments. Small gift shop. Costumer service was lacking even tour bus driver was rude. I was told to wait inside and she was waiting for us outside. The male bus driver was nice he picked us up but different driver on way back. Wear dark colors for best picture taking.

Worth every penny and the fly over gave us a fantastic view of the island and it's topography. Our pilot Christy was not only awesome but had a lot of knowledge about the island. Take your cameras for fantastic photos. We were hoping to get a video of our flight but unfortunately the on board cameras were out of service on our flight.

We took the full two hour tour with first the lava, then a stop at Hilo, then the north-east coast. It cost *a lot* at around $570 per person, but was worth it! One gripe though: not all seats are equally good, and you're placed effectively at random (a weight distribution thing). The front two seats are probably the best. The back has four seats, and a middle seat is jyst fine if your partner is next to you at the window. However, for the Waipeoa valley / north-east coast bit, the back-right two seats alltogether are a bit lackluster, cause all the fun is on the left side of the aircraft. It's only that (small) gripe that made me give 4 out of 5 stars. Apart from that a great experience.

We had one day in Honolulu, so we decided to try out the Helicopter tour. Very professional company with state of the art helicopters. Our pilot, Jeannette was great. We flew the entire island in 45 minutes and got a all new perspective on things we had never seen. We now want to go back and go to everywhere we saw by helicopter. Great fun!

My brother and I took this tour and absolutely loved it! You see almost the entire island and even places you're not allowed to see on land (Sacred Falls). Our pilot, Chris, was awesome and gave us a great tour, pointing out film locations and telling us trivia facts (who knew it takes 2 years to grow a pineapple?). This is a wonderful way to see the island!

This was hands down the best experience my husband, son and I have ever done on vacation! I was nervous about flying in a helicopter and once we were up in the air I completely forgot about being nervous! I even got to sit in the front. The scenery that you fly over is breathtaking! Like something you have never seen anywhere else in the world! Just when you thought one area was gorgeous you would fly over another area that was just as pretty. And our pilot provided a great background on what we were looking at the entire time. He included all of us and made all the passengers feel so comfortable. He was incredibly knowledgeable about the entire island and he made the trip even more interesting than it already was. He made us feel like we were his only passengers the entire day! He made it very special and went above and beyond to make the entire trip memorable! Hands down worth the money! Blue Hawaiian is the only way to go!!

Our pilot was Scott, ex-Blackhawk military pilot, very experienced, felt very safe. Went way beyond the tour book basics, told us a lot of history and geology of the island. We had a good day and got to fly into Mt Wai'ale'ale Crater which is inaccessible 70% of the year. Very highly recommend this tour.
