We did the Big Island Spectacular morning flight, with Chase as our pilot. He was great, the flight was awesome.we saw the waterfalls, the volcano with active lava, and the lava flow in the ocean. Originally my wife did not want go because of the cost, but said it was well worth it after we came back. She even wanted the DVD so she can relive it over and over again. Pictures will never show how awesome the views really are. One of the best things to do in the Big Island. Thanks to the complete Blue Hawaiian Helicopters team. They are excellant.

We really enjoyed this helicopter ride, the helicopter pilot Loren was an ex Blackhawk pilot and knew his stuff. The views of the coast as well as the interior were spectacular as well as the flight path that the Japanese aircraft took on their approach to attack Pearl Harbour. My wife was feeling a little bit of airsickness towards the end of the flight but she survived. You can purchase a DVD of your flight for @$25 dollars, my only complaint was the camera system on the chopper has not been upgraded to HD format so you receive a 4:3 image which might have been Ok if the outside camera lens had been cleaned. The images apart from the inside vision was like looking through a dirty window, and that was the main thing you purchased the DVD for in the first place.

It was our first helicopter trip, but the highlight of our trip. Our guide, greg,did an excellent job. The trip lasted over an hour and we saw places you could get to know other way other than hiking.. The scenery was phenomenal.

Mauna Loa canceled on us on the day of the scheduled flight so we called Blue Hawaiian and thankfully they had 2 seats available. We sat in the front with pilot Joffrey and had a great time. Also felt safer because he used to drive helicopters for the Army. The only part I didn't like is that Donald Trump is this company's ambassador!

A Kauai guidebook recommended Blue Hawaiian and we were extremely pleased. We had an amazing pilot, Brian, who was knowledgeable, fun and very safe. Recommend you do this the first day because it will give you a feel for the island to prioritize your adventures. (We made some changes to our "to do" list after the flight). Beg, plead or bribe your way out of seat #2 as it sits forward of the front row and you'll be right against the interior video camera (and feel ridiculous watching the replay). Enjoy! Great investment!

Expect spectacular views around every ridge, corner or crevice you dive into. The most exhilarating helicopter ride ever! The scenery is absolutely amazing! But as much as you might want to, don't waste money on the video. It's not in HD and is just going to ruin the 3 dimensional views retained in your mind's eye. Your pictures are better! Our pilot was Greg who did a real nice job!

This tour was awesome and worth every penny! Barrett is great pilot and guide. The sights are breath taking. Highly recommend everybody do this tour.

Pilot Chris and the entire staff are wonderful and the chopper ride was fantastic. A perfect way to tour the island and learn of its features.

We has Chris as a pilot and she could not be more informative, friendly and professional. She gave us a wonderful tour and put at all at ease with her flying skills. She was very aware that we were tourists and would want photos so did her best to make sure everyone on the flight received good views.

Had a wonderful experience on the helicopter. Great views and our pilot Barrett was very knowledgeable about the island. They seat you based on weight, we requested a front seat, but were put in the back on the right side of the ecostar helicopter. We had amazing views and would definitely recommend. I think the right side (when sitting inside) of the helicopter, had the better views.

We booked this tour through our hotel in Oahu. The trip was amazing!!!! The views were totally perfect!! Water falls , Lava flow going into the ocean!!! The pilot was so knowledgeable the only downfall was that we couldn't buy the DVD of out trip as apparently it didn't work , which wasn't a great way to end the trip that's for sure!!!

From the reception area to the safety briefing and the flight, Blue Hawaiian is a very well organized and wonderful experience. Our pilot was highly qualified and did an excellent job of flying and narrating the trip. This is indeed the way to see Kauai.

This was supposed to be a 1 hour flight that went horribly wrong when the radio failed 15 minutes into the flight and the helicopter had to return to base, and our trip aborted. With such a heavy booking schedule, the company could not rebook us, and did not have another helicopter available. Despite numerous apologies & refunding our money, our flight was a huge disappointment, and the company not interested in our one & only opportunity to experience this flight over the craters. Thurston Lava Tubes on the Big Island Hawaii, well worth a visit. Walked the very accessible trail. lunch at Volcano House overlooking the Kilauea Caldera, Well situated restaurant, get a table near the large windows inside to watch the smoking volcano which is prone to spitting out large rocks, in the distance. Menu choices & prices good, and drinks purchased were bottomless. Highly recommend.

Thank you Jason for an amazing tour! You were not only a great pilot but an entertainer and history professor as well. Thank you for allowing us to ask you all kinds of questions and biting on our 8 year old's jokes! The close up volcano and lava, waterfalls, beaches and mountain views from the air were stunning. There's no way we would have had the time or been able to hike into these places with an 8 year old. We appreciated your humor and story on how you arrived on the island. It was so intriguing that we're now looking to create our own story to become locals as well! As first time helicopter riders, we were greatly impressed. Dark clothing is recommended for this tour to prevent glare from the windows. Jason was great about spending enough time at each photo spot and making sure each side of the aircraft got the same photo opportunities. The administrative and ground crews were all cheerful and helpful and it seemed everyone enjoyed the work they were doing which helps ease any reservations you may have. This trip was well worth the cost and time.

My wife and I came to Kauai for our honeymoon and we're told we had to do a helicopter tour while there. We were referred to Blue Hawaiian and had an amazing experience. Their operation is top-notch. True professionals with a emphasis on safety. Their entire staff is friendly and work hard to ensure the guests are satisfied. The ride itself was incredible. Words can't describe how thrilling it was to see the beautiful Garden Island from above. Looking down on areas otherwise inaccessible. I highly recommend Blue Hawaiian and would take a trip again the next time we're in Hawaii.
