Just do it. Totally worth the money. Really really really just do it!!! Our pilot was great. Very informative. The scenery.... MY GOODNESS! It is so so beautiful! W even flew into an old crater en route to the northern part of the island. This trip was absolutely amazing. I can't express that enough and highly recommend to everyone. We even brought our 7month old baby along who slept soundly to the wurring sound of the helicopter for the entire flight.

Took a tour of Kauai in July. My wife and I flew with Blue Hawaiian in a six passenger helicopter from Lihue on an afternoon flight. The trip that was supposed to be an hour was actually 45 minutes. Seemed like the pilot was in a hurry. Despite getting to the airport 20 minutes early, as the first customers, we were put in the rear of the helicopter. Sitting in the back is like being on a bus, looking over other passengers heads. I would not recommend spending the money for what you see.

Put this on our must do list when you arrive! Easy, enjoyable, relaxing! One you have done all the stuff and your now looking for a relaxing day. This is your ride!

The check in was smooth, our captain Trevor was fantastic and the views were amazing. He focused on the inside of the island and a little on the Na Pali coast. This is a must in order to appreciate the island and it's beauty.

We've been on other helicopter tours that have been excellent. Blue Hawaiian blew all those trips away. I don't have words to describe how Outstanding, Awesome, Personal and Satisifying this tour was. I always get a little edgy before a rotary wing trip - but the pilot - Toshi - made us feel at ease and personally strapped us in. Take off was smooth and controlled we followed an old road at low altitude while listening to ride of the valkaries. We all had noise canceling head phones and Toshi had great music to complient the trip. Before we new it we were at 6000 feet traveling 100 knots. The ride was so smooth and the scene so beatiful that I forgot about being nervious. We were soon over the lava fields of Kilua and Toshi was explaining about the eruptions and the flow. We circled the caldera and made several passes making sure both sides of the aircraft could get a good look. We then wen to the Puu vent and again several passes were made. Toshi made some very nice spiral moves allowing us to look down right into the molten lava. All the while he explaining what we are looking at, and engaging us in conversation. Leaving the lava fields we headed for Hilo where they will land for a pit stop. He asked if anyone needed to stop because if no one did we would continue on and stay in the air longer. No one needed to stop so off we went up the coastline. At this point I'm thinking nothing can beat the molten lava - I was wrong. We flew up to the Waipio valley. We didn't enter that one so as to not disturb the people living there - but we went into the next valley all the way to the end. 1300 foot water falls , lush green jungle - beatiful and total contrast to the lava. Out the end of the valley and into another one - breath taking. We then headed home seeing part of parker ranch along the way. Perfect landing right in the circle. Close to 2 full hours in the air. WOW. AWESOME. They wanted $40 for a video of your trip - which I felt is reasonable. Their shirts and hats were also reasonably priced. HIghly recommended. Six stars if I could.

We took the Kohala coast tour. The pilot did a great job of getting us close to some spectacular waterfalls. He was also able to spot out a whale and calf on our ride. We ended up buying the video of the flight. I think it is worth having the video because it has unobstructed views of your route.

Hadn't been on a chopper for quite sometime, at least I didn't have to exit from the rear this time and it was the first time for my wife who wasn't thrilled to begin with. It is pricey but well worth the cost if you can afford it. We went on a second flight in Maui a week later with this same company and we were a bit disappointed. There are less desireable seats on the helicopter especially if the pilot is favoring his or in this case her side of the craft. If your up front as it was for us in Oahu then you have the best seats in the house. Our pilot, Julie was amazing and extremely considerate with respect to everyone in the craft in addressing all of the six passengers by their first names. She made everyone feel inclusive while delivering her presentation of the island and comfortable with all her professional skills of both flying and knowledge of the island. To see all there is to see close up from the air was extremely amazing especially flying over the Arizona after seeing her up close only a few days earlier. If you want to do more than one flight on the islands I would suggest asking for a better deal and tell them you want the repeat customer fare but if you have to chose one than the Honolulu flight is definetly worth your while. Ask for the Julie flight because she was truely a class act.

The island interior can only be seen from the air. More waterfalls than you can stand photographing. Green and hills everywhere. View from the center back seats is poor. Reflective glass makes most photos so so. My wife wanted a door less helicopter next time for serious photos. She hates flying commercial jets so go figure.

Don't think about the cost. Its worth it, the view is specular and you can really appreciate the island. The pilot is friendly and very informative.

Excellent. Well worth the money. We did a 2 hour tour on the Big Island & a 40 minute tour on Oahu. The views are to die for, the pilots are so informative. Both flights were the highlight of our 12 nights in Hawaii.

The helicopter is this beautiful $3-3.5M state of the art piece of machinery. The pilot, ground crew, briefers, and check-in state are all incredibly nice and professional. We all felt incredibly welcomed and safe the whole time. Which led to be relaxed as we took off for our 50 minute tour around Kauai. It is nothing short of amazing. Our pilot took us up the coastline and up into the hills where they filmed Jurassic Park, King Kong, Raiders of the Lost Ark, and Pirates of the Caribbean. Even the big movie screens don't do these visuals justice. It was amazing. Hovering next to waterfalls, flying over ridges, passing by caves where ancient Hawaiian royalty is buried. It was surreal. I would go again in a heartbeat.

So fun how they played Hawaii Five-O theme music and enya on headphones as you fly next to the most amazing cliffside beaches! Miguel was super friendly and knowledgeable as our pilot! Our 4 month old slept the whole flight in my arms he was so comfortable!

Hello Trippies Blue Hawaiian Eco Tours of Kauai are a must if you can afford it. It's absolutely the best way to get the most stunning view of the islands' beauty and topography. I suggest only going in the early morning. You are almost guaranteed the sun which you want as it highlights the Napali Coast in incredible ways. Another tip is that you should try and get the front seats for sure. My wife was seated in the front and she had the best view be far. If you are in the 2nd row try to get seating on the right side. My daughter and I were seated in the 2nd row left and we missed out on a lot. If my review helps you please give me a thumbs up!

We had booked an early morning (9AM) helicopter flight, and they go every 1/2 hour. We chose an early flight, b/c then you beat the clouds over the mountains. After hemming and hawing, we finally chose Blue Hawaiian, b/c they had the cheapest flights for the two recommended companies, (Jack Harter was the other company), and Costco had gift certificates ($79.99 for $100) for this company. The pilot sits on the left, so the front two seats get the right side, which is nice for most of the trip is done with the right side mostly facing the island tho the pilot did turn around several times to allow left seats a better view. The rear seats fit 4, so the middle two seats require leaning over the outer people to get views out of the side windows. These side windows are really big, and allow you to get fantastic views. This company flies Eco Stars which are newer, bigger, and more comfortable A-Star helicopters. We sat in the back on the right side, and I was at the window seat. This is a good seat, the best one in the rear, but my spouse had to lean over me to get shots and with the speed of the helicopter and the angle of the window, he had some difficulties getting good shots. Unfortunately, the seating arrangement is by weight, and it depends on the pilot’s weight and the weight of the other 4 passengers. We requested the front, but weren’t able to get it due to the necessity of having evenly distributed weight. They also weigh you when you sign in, so that no one lies about their weight (who would do that? :-) Our tour was about 50min. which is typical for all the other companies except for Jack Harter, who flies 60-65 min flights. However, we were really happy with the pilot and the aircraft, so we would recommend this company’s tour unreservedly. Wear dark clothing, esp shirts so as to minimize reflection off the windows, plus long pants or something over the knees, as we found everyone's knees were so light that they reflected in the windows.

45Mins flight around Oahu!!! stunning views of land and sea. Whales, giant manta rays, mountain ridges, waterfall up close, market gardens etc etc. I was so glad to do this magic flight, I would highly recommend the company to all. very informative pilot.
