When visiting all the Hawaiian Islands you must take a helicopter ride. While on Kona, we used Blue Hawaiian Helicopter tours (we live on Kauai and have used them there). Professional and safety to a fault. Very friendly staff and the pilots are awesome. A MUST!

I had never been in a helicopter before, but it was on my bucket list. Greg, our pilot, was calm and confident, with many years' flying experience, and he made it easy to get over the first-time jitters. And what we saw... well, it was simply amazing! We would never have seen so much of the Big Island any other way, and we saw stunning scenery - macadamia farms, gorgeous coastline, glowing red hot spots on the volcano and some amazingly beautiful waterfalls. I'm very careful with our vacation dollars, but this was worth every penny.

This is was the perfect way to see the island. Our pilot, Adam, was knowledgeable and honest. We saw all there was to see on the island and it was exhilarating! I recommend you do this first as an overview so you can decide what you want to see and do while on the island.

An excellent way to take in the entire island in 45-50 minutes. The views were amazing and our Pilot, Adam, was knowledgeable and helpful. From the safety briefing, to the final touchdown, a thoroughly professional company.

This tour was amazing and my wife didn't feel the least bit sick until we started going in and out of one of the valleys near the end of the tour - she gets terrible motion sickness. We went around the whole Island and our pilot Ian was very friendly and a pleasure to ride with. We saw lots of lava and saw trees burning, lava breaking and while viewing this saw a wonderful rainbow that poked out and circled the chopper. It was an amazing experience and one that I will remember for many years to come. The only thing I didn't like was the price but realistically for what it is and the cost to the operator of running the entire operation (wages, fuel and maintenance etc.) it was very competitively priced. You can't put a price on a life experience like this, well I guess you can but you should accept the cost and savour the experience - it is money well spent!

We had a fantastic and truly memorable flight this morning with Loren, it really is a must do trip, very smooth and comfortable, got to see loads of things that we wouldn't have seen on the ground, cannot recommend it enough.

We did the West Maui and Molokai Tour. It was a spectacular experience. We learned so much interesting information about both islands besides it was breath taking. Our pilot Rick was amazing and very safe. I thought I would have trouble because I have a fear of heights. Not the case at all. It was relaxing. The best way to see Maui is from the sky. Splurge you won't regret it. You can even buy a personalized BluRay of your flight. This flight was our favorite part of our trip.

Get the Costco gift cards and enjoy! Pilots are polite and everyone made us feel good. Wonderful part of trip.

I took the helicopter tour over Kuaui. It truly was one of the best experiences in my life. I have never seen so much beauty in one place. I didn't make a reservation prior to my arrival, and headed to the tour office right from picking up my rental car. They were booked solid all day. However, they fit me on the next tour since it was just me. I had about a 20 minute wait, not too shabby. The staff was very accommodating and courteous. I was so grateful as it was the one thing I truly wanted to do on the island. Craig was our pilot and he was the best! Very nice, funny, and full of island knowledge as were toured over it. Blue Hawaiian Helicopter is by far the best and I highly recommend using them.

Our pilot Marty was awesome sharing lots of information about the sights we were seeing. Blue Hawaiian has a nice set up for preparing for and leaving on your tour. Since I get extremely sick on boat tours, this is an awesome way to see the Napali Coast. The most beautiful place I have ever seen. This was my second helicopter tour in Kauai. I don't think we saw as much of the island this time but what we did see was amazing. We purchased the movie of our tour but had problems with the computer disc. Having a bit of a problem getting it exchanged for a Blu-ray DVD but they are finally saying it is ready for us.

This was the high light of my Hawaiian vacation. It is expensive but I thought it was worth it. You get to see most of the island that is difficult to get to. If you like to fly go for it!!

What a thrill. Outstanding views of the entire island of Kauai. Smooth ride, great service and knowledgeable pilot. I highly recommend this tour.

we flew with toshi, saw an actual spewing of lava the size of football field on kileua!!! the most amazing sight, just like in the movies, we landed by a waterfall, a new addition to the flight that was absolutely gorgeous with beautiful view and photo. I would highly recommend this big island tour!

Blue Hawaiian Helicopters. Best view of the island. The pilot narrates the whole experience plus you have a microphone to ask questions. Just the view of the Pacific Ocean and the magnificent colors of the water. At the end you have the option of purchasing a DVD of the ride and you can see yourself in the helicopter and hear yourself if speaking. I can check this off my Bucket List. GREAT!!!!

We travel a lot and of all the activities we have ever done, this was the greatest! Scenery was spectacular! Our pilot, Ian, was so nice and knowledgeable! Excellent piloting as well! We are both pilots and we are in awe of Ian's skills! Just can't say enough good things about Blue Hawaiian! Even saw a circle rainbow, and flying back into the deep valleys was a bonus. Seeing the lava from the air was enough to make the flight perfect but the whole flight was one "Wow!" after another! We just can't recommend this highly enough!
