This was a wonderful experience, a great way to see the island, places we would not be able to see any other way! The pilot was very good, information was to the point, never rambling nonsence, made us feel safe even when diving down to see the swimming turtles. I will always take a helicopter ride when visiting new places from now on (hoping to get the same super type of pilot)!

My wife and I did the Big Island Spectacular tour with Greg (Gogo) today in the Eco-Star. Although a little pricey, would highly recommend. Greg was an awesome pilot and made the tour what it was. Loved his choice in music too which makes the experience better. Great tour, definitely a must-do.

At the last minute we choose this activity, WOW, I truly wish we had done it first! Totally captivating and breathtaking. Highly recommended by me. Oh, do make a reservation, you don't want to miss it.

My husband and I took the two hour Big Island Spectacular Eco Tour this morning and had an absolutely fantastic time!! Our pilot (Greg "Go-Go") gave us a great tour and was a wealth of infomation about the sights we visited. It was especially fascinating to view the many waterfalls up close! We even saw two whales breeching as we flew out over the sea alongside the cliffs! We would highly recommend Blue Hawaiian Helicopter Tours as a great way to see the island!

My husband and I did 2 separate helicopter flights - 1 on the big island and the other on Kauai. We weren't able to do them together as we were travelling with a 16month old and we hasn't able to come with us. My husband thought the volcano flight was amazing. He saw the recent lava flow and said the female guide was really informative and helpful. I did the Kauai flight and it was incredible. It rained for the better part of it but that didn't dampen it. I had Barrett as a guide and he was also very informative and professional. They offer a DVD of your trip for $26 and we both got one and watched each other's and appreciated what one other experienced. These flights are worth every cent. There is so much you can't see from the land that you really have to get up in the air to experience it - like Kauai with the coast and crater. Truly exceptional!!

If you have the money to drop, this is a must-do on the big island. Friendly people, beautiful aircraft, super friendly and skilled pilot (we had Toshi who was a riot), and vistas not to be missed. We did the shorter helicopter tour of the northern part of the island/ waterfalls and it was gorgeous. Also had the opportunity to see whales breech. It was my first time in a helicopter and I felt safe and truly enjoyed myself.

We took the 2 hour tour over the volcanos and the rain forest. Our pilot, Eric, was very knowledgeable of the island and volcano history. We learned so much! Our only concern/complaint was being on the helicopter with a 5 year old placed near the control panel on the floor (which he planted his foot on) and given a mic to talk into (and he did so loudly to the point my husband took his earphones off and missed some of what the pilot was telling us we were seeing). I said something about his food being on the panel and pilot reiterated that he should not do that, but the child was constantly trying to get his feet back on there again. I think they need to rethink placement of children and perhaps set a higher age limit. I thought Eric was very good with his attitude and very tolerant in answering questions from the little guy, but age 5 is to young to have control of the mic.

I highly recommend taking this tour! My husband and I were lucky and got to sit in the front 2 seats and the views were AMAZING! We were very hesitant to spend the money, but it was well worth it in the end. You can only bring a phone or camera (no bags) but you can take as many pictures/video as you want! And also, they record the entire flight so you can purchase that video afterwards. Our guide (Adam) did a great job at flying over Oahu and showing us the main attractions. Very laid back environment and easy going tour. We were on our honeymoon and flew on Blue Hawaiian on 11-6-14. We had went on a circle island grand tour the day before so were familiar with most of the main attractions. It was breathtaking to see the Sacred Falls waterfall! Would have liked to have been shown more of the less "main" attractions, but no big deal. Still enjoyed seeing Oahu from the sky!

This is an absolutely breathtaking experience. The staff were friendly, organized and everything was on time. From the moment we lifted off the scenery was spectacular our pilot was extremely knowledgeable and very friendly. We took the afternoon trip to see the Volcano as well as the Valleys in the north. Stunning! Would highly recommend this tour - it is a bit pricey but well worth it!

Going on a helicopter tour would not ordinarily be at the top of my priority list while traveling, but after a friend recommended it, I decided to give it a try. It was amazing and I thoroughly enjoyed it! The highlight of my trip to Hawaii!! Ian was our pilot and was fantastic--informative, entertaining, played great music, and somehow conjured up double rainbows for us. Very positive experience start to finish.

We had a really good time except our pilot really only catered for the front passengers and left us wondering what they were looking at!

I am pregnant, so I was especially nervous about the safety of a helicopter experience. Blue Hawaiian was definitely the right choice. I did research on the various companies, and made sure I chose the one with all the appropriate safety procedures. And I felt extremely safe once arriving to the heliport, and being on board. As for the ride.... The experience was thrilling! The views were breath taking, and we loved seeing the island from up above! I would recommend doing this at the beginning of your trip, to get a lay of the land before exploring on land.

We were limited on time & nervous to drive the infamous road to Hana so we did the hybrid helicopter/bus tour with Blue Hawaiian & Temptation Tours. Both were first class. The trip was amazing. I can't say enough good things about this trip. I was thankful to not have to do the road to Hana twice, but you get to see so much from the sky. It is a great combo!

What an amazing way to see the Island. If you are lucky enough you will have Brodie as your pilot... the knowledge that he brings to the tour makes it even more memoriable... he makes sure that everyone is seeing all there is to see, and was always pointing out things to see... the time flew by, and we did not want it to end.. Even one of our group who was not sure he was going to like the helicopter , is now looking forward to doing it again on another vacation... I thank Brodie for giving us all a trip we will remember for a life time.... We also got the video of the trip, there was so many things to see, that you can relive them over and over again.... Thanks for a great ending to a great day on the Island...

Our helicopter ride over Kauai was phenomenal. Our pilot & narrator Brodie (a native Hawaiian) did an outstanding job in showing us the incredible beauty of Kauai and sharing some of the history of the island - including Waimea Canyon, the Pali coastline, and finally into the crater area of Mount Wai'ale'ale. The helicopter Blue Hawaiian uses is truly far superior to others that we saw at the heliport. Both of us sat in the back seat and had great views and we could hear the narration quite well with the Bose headphones provided & could ask questions with a microphone. It was definitely worth the extra money to fly with Blue Hawaiian. If you only take one helicopter ride in Hawaii, do it over Kauai.
