Greatest experience ever!! A MUST at this beautiful island. This company was very professional and Brodi gave us a great informative tour. The views will leave you speechless!
So many parts of this wonderful island can only be seen from the air! Trevor, our pilot was great at controls but also great to explain the history, and other interesting information. Was so good almost signed up for another flight!
I did a lot of research before choosing a helicopter tour of the Big Island. Was initially hesitant to book with Blue Hawaiian because their website seemed too touristy - I like to support the smaller local guy - but, I'm so glad I did. Staff was professional, equipment was clean, well-maintained and very comfortable (we took the A Star which was more than adequate. Saw the EcoStar and it didn't seem worth the extra money). Saw other tour companies helicopters on the runway and they looked small, uncomfortable and outdated. Pilot was friendly, funny, and knowledgeable. Our tour was to be 45 minutes but he gave us close to 1 hour.
Went on the trip to see the lava as it pours into the sea. Excellent, very professional and friendly. The scenery was stunning and the pilot took care to show is exactly what was happening. Worth the hefty price tag.
My husband talked me into taking a heli-tour of Kilauea Volcano. I was skeptical as I tend to get motion sickness. But the whole trip was so fascinating that I never was uncomfortable. The pilot was very friendly and offered at anytime to make our ride more comfortable, but everyone onboard was fine, including me. The sights were beyond words. Flying over the volcano and seeing the lava flow was absolutely fascinating. You can't see ANY of this from anywhere but the sky. It's expensive, but a once in a lifetime experience to not be forgotten.
Took the tour of Kilauea and the waterfalls from Hilo. So glad we did! Once in a lifetime experience. Very professional company. Very organized. Our pilot, Jeremy, was exceptional. Friendly and knowledgeable. Definitely recommend this company for an experience you won't soon forget!
This flight has unparalleled views of the islands. Our pilot was Justin and he was very knowledgeable about the history of the people and the geography. He flew us over the Wall of Tears, which was breathtaking. We started to get a bit nauseous near the end. Being in a helicopter is an adjustment when you're not used to them.
Very, very impressed with Blue Hawaiian. Scott, our pilot, was outstanding, turning the helo at every point so everyone had great views. This is a cannot-miss experience to see the Napili coast and Blue Hawaiian is your absolute best choice. Hoping you get Scott, too.
Our afternoon trip was cancelled as the weather was inclement but we were rebooked for the next morning and had a wonderful 2 hour flight. The ground crew were so friendly and helpful (thanks Rowena #1) and pilot Eli was excellent - professional, informative and loved us being there so he 'didn't have to have a real job'. We floated over the mountains, into a valley and over cliffs and waterfalls. The volcano, Kilauea, was not spewing as actively as it had been but we saw the smoking lava tube and red hot lava in the Pu'u O'o crater and at the waters edge. Our trip was recorded with 3 on board audio-video cameras and downloaded for us onto a stick, making a great souvenir. Obviously flying in helicopters is not inexpensive but it was a trip of a lifetime.
This is a must do to get a real view of the Oahu Island. Pilot Dave was very informative and was willing to answer any questions we had
This was certainly the highlight of my trip. The pilot was very cool. The island from the air is breath taking...
The helicopter flight was the highlight of our holiday to Oahu. The views were spectacular and breathtaking at every turn, it is a great way to see the whole island. Our pilot was very experienced and gave a running commentary throughout the flight. I highly recommend Blue Hawaiian Helicopter Tours.
Courteous top notch preflight briefing. Hotel pickups. Knowledgeable pilot. And a really fine tour. I also asked to see whales. Pilot allowed that she'd not seen one in a few days. We banked right and seconds later came upon a humpback breaching. Good karma. A bit too much opportunity to sell " mementos after the flight but that clearly was appreciated by a few of the six travelers.
While in Honolulu on vacation we decided to take a helicopter ride, a first for both of us. We booked this through a agent in the hotel lobby, very easy and quick. The Blue Hawaiiian bus picked us up from and hotel and drove us to the airport, along the way the driver explained fully what would take place when we arrived, after the weigh in and safety video we boarded the helicopter for our tour. The flight was amazing , the pilot Julie was not only a amazing pilot she was also very knowledgable about the whole island. Pointed out all of the landmarks to us. Anyone thinking of taking a helicopter tour while in Honolulu should use Blue Hawaiian tours, everything first class.
We were originally supposed to do a helicopter tour over Kauai but we got Rained out twice. So we decided to do it on Big Island since the lava was flowing into the ocean again. This was a 1&1/2 hour tour that left from the Waikoloa area. It was very well done and the pilot was great. This was our fifteen year olds favorite. They showed the lava from multiple points and also many waterfalls. Totally worth the cost.
