We wanted to see the Napali Coast and since we both get sea sick and the seas were rough, we weren't going to see it by a boat tour. We weren't inclined to hike the Kalalau trail either, so we opted for the Blue Hawaiian Tour. We booked on-line ahead of time to get the discount. You get a really different perspective of the island from the air and it was awesome to see waterfalls we would not have been able to see otherwise. We enjoyed out pilot's comments and the interaction between him and the others on the tour was interesting. The seats were comfortable, lots of room, and the pilot made sure to turn the helicopter so everyone could get a good view of the features he was flying us by. The hour went by very quickly and too soon we were back on the ground. We decided to purchase the DVD of our tour and unfortunately it didn't work. So, we stopped back another day and the staff very cheerfully made another one for us.

Our pilot Vincent was excellent, very knowledgeable. Great views, very smooth. Worth the money. Definitely recommend. DVD of your flight available for purchase so you don't have to watch the view through your camera

We went on the recommendations of Trip Advisor and Kauai Revealed and booked with Blue Hawaiian. I've never flown in helicopter and was a little nervous. That was put to ease as soon as we got on the helicopter. Our pilot Marty quickly informed us that he had been flying for over 20 years and logged more than 10,000 hours of flying time. The helicopter was very comfortable and looked to be much nicer than the competition. Like when I got my LASIK surgery, I wasn't looking for the lowest priced option. Safety and comfort were our top priority. Very glad we booked with Blue Hawaiian.

We did a lot of researching before selecting Blue Hawaiian as our helicopter tour company of choice. My husband and I took our toddler with us, and we all loved it. Our little one slept for about 5 minutes during the trip, but was happy looking at all the sights and pointing at stuff she saw. Our pilot, Vincent, was great and friendly. The views of Na Pali are indescribable.....this was definitely the trip of a lifetime. To not see Kauai from air would be such a shame after traveling all this way!

From the time I booked the ride to the time it was concluded this was the most professional outfit I have dealt with. I really wanted to see the Napali coast and the boats were not running due to the time of year. I had heard great things about Hawaiian Helicopters from "The Ultimate Kauai Guidebook". We went to Costco and bought 2 coupons for $79.99 (worth $100) each to pay for the trip. I went on a morning ride and upon arriving I really was glad I went with Hawaiian. They are the only ones with an actual building at the airport. All the other companies had tents or trailers for guests to wait and get their safety training. There were 6 people assigned to a helicopter and you were weighed upon arrival and your seat was determined by weight distribution in the helicopter. You watched a brief safety video and were given instructions on how to board the helicopter. It worked like clock work--they have it down and all of the staff I encountered were very professional. Our pilot was Barrett a Kauai native. All helicopters fly clockwise around the island. The day was beautiful and sunny and that posed some problems in seeing things. I think a little cloud cover would have been a good thing. They tell you to wear dark clothing which I did on top but had light colored shorts on and they gave off a reflection in the glass as I was in the front seat. Wear dark clothing head to toe and the longer the pants the better for the glare. We saw some beautiful areas, had a great view of Ni'ihau. Waimea Canyon was so colorful and the Jurassic waterfall looked just like it did in the movie. The Napali coast wasn't as colorful as I would have liked it to be. I was told later that it is best in the afternoon for pictures. I had a fabulous experience with Hawaiian and would recommend them to anyone wanting a professional, safe and well maintained helicopter ride.

We had a tour that made our visit complete. We could not tour by boat along the coast because of the surf conditions. We would have missed the best part of the island without our tour. Smooth ride, friendly staff, great pilot and very organized. I felt safe and enjoyed my ride! Wear dark clothing for photos, or the reflection ruins the pictures.

Highly recommend BHH! Our pilot Barett was the best! Welcoming and very narrative throughout our roughly 55 minute tour. The sites are beyond breathtakingly beautiful with incredible music accompanying them. The island truly is heaven on earth, so very lush. I was told the best way to see the island (as we were arriving by cruise ship and only had a half day there) was by helicopter. I can tell you we had no regrets whatsoever and will recommend to anyone visiting BHH is the way to go! Thank you!!

Brad was an excellent pilot! Really took his time to make sure all sides of the helicopter good great views. Beautiful trip! Would definitely do it again!

We were lucky to take the flight on the third try – two previous flights were cancelled due to weather and poor visibility. Barrett our pilot was very informative and pleasant. The flight was smooth and Barrett turned the helicopter around at major sights so that everybody could get a good view. This was the highlight of our Kauai trip.

When my wife cames up with the idea of a heli tour on Kauai i was not 100% impressed of this. But we event went for it.... And i'm so happy about that we've done the heli tour. Our pilot, Geoffrey, was a very nice guy wich has explaned us a lot about this lovely island, his home! We're absolutely thankful for this great experience!

The staff was very friendly, and the service was quick. The man who seated us was kind, and funny. Our pilot, Marty, was very informative, and mentioned cool tidbits along the way. My husband and my son were seated in the back, while I sat up front. My son was able to take very clear video from the side where he was sitting, and my husband was able to take very nice photos. The experience was enjoyable for all of us, and I would highly recommend doing this on your trip to Kauai.

A travel book suggested that no trip to Hawaii would be complete without a helicopter trip over Kauai and the book was right. Blue Hawaiian runs a very professional operation and we were impressed with their emphasis on safety. We were picked up at the cruise port and were returned there with plenty of time before the ship sailed. The scenery is breathtaking and our pilot did a wonderful job of narrating the views. The views of the Na Poli coast are stunning and when we saw them again at sunset from our ship, we felt as if we were returning to an old friend. We bought both DVDs, one of all the islands and the other of our particular flight (it was mailed to us within a week or so) and they are both excellent souvenirs of a terrific trip. I was happy that the fees charged by this company are clearly listed on the website; no "fuel surcharges" to surprise you at the end.

We had a great experience with Blue Hawaiian - flight was on time, pilot was friendly and knowledgable, flight was fun and memorable. While I am a nervous flier, their focus on safety put me at ease. Overall, we had a fine time. Our only disappointment was with the video of our tour - we had been told it was $25, which we felt was very reasonable. We planned on buying it, so my son didn't take any video with his new GoPro. When we got back, we were thrilled to see the amazing high quality video on the screen. Until we realized that was from the other Copter that went out at the same time, equipped with brand new video equipment. The video from our Copter then went up on screen, with old technology video that looked like VHS tape, relative to the Blu-Ray quality video we had seen.Very disappointing! We passed on buying it, as my son said: "I would rather have my memories". So, while we highly recommend this adventure, we suggest you ask for the high-res copter if you plan on buying the video.

Views were awesome!! Pilot shared a lot of information about the island and took time to answer our questions. Had noise cancelling headsets and eco-star has less vibration than other helicopters...for better photographs! Cameras on board and you can purchase a personalized video after.
