Tour on 05 Aug 2013- I suggest that anyone who comes to Kauai HAS to do the helicopter tour of the island and ONLY with Blue Hawaiian Helicopters. Best and biggest on the island! Barrett was our pilot and he was amazing! He is a born and raised local and you can tell his passion for the island and heritage. He gave us a smooth ride and made sure everyone had views for pictures. My husband got a little 'hot' he says but the nausea didn't overcome him and he was fine. I think the pilot noticed and turned his air vents towards his way. Nice move and no one noticed but us. Barrett showed us so many beautiful places and this is truly the best way to see the island. To go places that you can only see by air and untouched is amazing. The rainbows were gorgeous. To see the green mountains, waterfalls, canyon and shoreline all wrapped up into one experience is by far the most amazing experience my husband and I could ever have on Kauai. We owe a huge THANKS to Barrett and Blue Hawaiian Helicopters for giving us this ever lasting memory. I highly recommend to purchase the DVD. To know you have your own personal tour on DVD (for only $25) is just the icing on the cake. Thanks again from George and Angela Esquivel

There was no way I was going to join my husband in a helicoper ride, even though I realized that the best way to see Kauai was by air. However, since he was going with or without me, I decided to bite the bullet. I'm so glad i did. Blue Hawaiian was so very professional from beginning to end. Their Eco Tour is a new, comforable vehicle with a lot more glass for viewing and headsets that reduce noise and allow you to communiate with your pilot and other passengers. We were fully informed beforehand via staff and a short video of exactly what to expect when boarding and during the tour. Our pilot was so friendly, informative, and funny as we flew over magnificent mountain, ocean and waterfall views of the island. It was truly an experience to remember and I am so happy I didn't let fear stop me! Another point as to their professionalism -- halfway through our one-hour tour, a large cloud front was coming in from the west. Our pilot, always in contact with other pilots in the air, was alerted and immediately turned around and returned to base. Even though we enjoyed our half-tour immensely, since the tour was aborted, our total price was refunded. I though that was extremely generous of them. I would highly recommend this for everyone! Just a note - if you want a morning tour, book early (even before you arrive on the island) - they book up first.

I was nervous about flying in a helicopter for the first time but it was awesome! Vincent was our pilot and was really knowledgable about the island and very engaging. I am prone to motion sickness and took Dramamine before but probably didn't need it- very smooth ride. The scenery is incredible and definitely worth the price to see the island. A definite "to-do", especially if you have limited time on the island.

We almost didn't go because of the price but watched people rave about this tour. It may be the neatest thing we did in our lives. The pilots are excellent and the views are terrific. We went under a waterfall, over a pod of whales, I recently gave a wedding gift of two helicopter tours to friends that were honeymooning there. They were very excited when they came back and we compared pictures for hours.

We rode with these guys on our first day on the island. It's a wonderful way to get an overview of the island so you can plan the rest of your activities. Our pilot (Geoffrey) was great and the views of the na Pali coast are spectacular. The wife and I teared up when we first saw na Pali from the air. It's truly breathtaking and totally worth it

Flew with Nathan as our pilot. Great fun. Sights were awesome, the narration and personal stories kept everyone engaged. He introduced himself and his flight experience including serving in Iraq; I couldn't feel safer. Really worth every penny!

The aerial views of the island were fantastic. My wife and I did the tour on our honeymoon and really enjoyed it. I highly recommend doing the helicopter tour early in your trip to Kauai, and keep an eye out for places to visit!

I just got back from my first trip to Kauai. It was amazing and I would go back immediately if I could! The highlight of my trip was my helicopter ride on Blue Hawaiian. Even though it was a cloudy day our pilot, Barrett, made the most of it and gave us a great experience. We even got to go into the volcano!!!! Do not pass up this experience on your Kauai vacation. My hubby and I are glad we went.

We booked this tour ahead with NCL as we were sailing on the Pride of America cruise ship. I was a bit apprehensive about flying in a helicopter but needn't have been. It was a smooth, serene experience with Nathan our pilot who made us feel at ease. The scenery was breathtaking and spectacular and we have since (on the same trip) done another helicopter trip through the Grand Canyon and both of us agreed that the Kauai helicopter trip was more impressive! If you only do one tour on the Pride of America or whilst touring Hawaii, make this tour be the only one. Amazing, and you have a DVD of YOUR trip to replay as often as you like for an extra $30 or so. The only thing we could complain about was the colour in the DVD was not as vibrant as in real life, but you will see the real thing anyway. Wear dark clothing so as not to reflect your clothes in the windows - Just do it - worth every cent!

OMG! so much FUN! from the pick up at the ship with Steve to the helicopter ride with Scott! Brian took us to and from the Heliport and was a blast also. Everyone had a smile and a joke. People in the office were helpful and had an easy smile. Thank you for a memory of a lifetime! Best ride I had on the islands!

All I can say is Wow! We chose to do the helicopter tour on the 2nd day of our vacation as it was our anniversary. It's certainly something neither of us will ever forget. This is the only way to see many areas of the inner island and many of the waterfalls. You really do get up close to so many things. It also encouraged us to go out on our own and visit some things like the canyons, waterfalls, and the North Shore. This is well worth the money! We were able to get awesome pictures. However, i did end up getting the reflection off of shoes in some of the pics. So wear something dark in order to avoid this.

This is the way to really see Kauai!!!!!!!! Our Pilot Nathan was awesome. Got the whole group laughing a few times. He also knew a lot about the island and happily answered our questions! He also interacted with my 5 year old son which made all of us love the ride even more! I truly believe this is the best way to see Kauai in all its beauty! And with such a great staff and great pilots.. I highly recommend Blue Hawaiian.

Pilot Vince gave us an amazing helicoptor tour today...due to all the rain there were too many waterfalls to count.To see the island like this is again amazing and a must do excursion in Kauai. Mahalo Pilot Vince!

Beautiful, Evan was a wonderful pilot. Bus driver was courteous and helpful too :-) Really the best way to tour the island. On time, efficient, professional.

A spectacular view of the island is yours by helicopter. Blue Hawaiian is top notch in every way. You get fantastic scenery not possible by just driving around or hiking. In about an hour, you travel around the island, which plenty of special views of hard-to-get-to places, especially Waimea Canyon and the Na Pali Coast. Worth every penny. Do not miss!
