If you really want to see all of Oahu, then take a Blue Hawaiian helicopter tour. You will see everything on the island and experience many beautiful shots. The tour seems to last only ten minutes, but you can really see so much. We saw sharks, stingrays and sea turtles out over one of the reefs, but Chinaman's hat and I have a greater appreciation for the island and it's beauty after my flight! The company is very professional and the helicopter is nice and fairly smooth. I was expecting more jitters and jolts, but it was smooth. A must do.

I have never been on a helicopter before so this was amazing to me! The pilot was knowledgeable and very funny. The sights from above the island were completely worth the price!

If you plan on going to Kauai, you MUST automatically include this in you cost. There is nothing like experiencing it on heli. We did a plane ride on the Big Island and I didn't feel like I was missing out. A plane ride of Kauai would not do it justice. The heli takes you in these INSANE canyons and cracks in the mountains. It was a real life IMAX. Unforgettable. Again, IF YOU DONT DO A HELI RIDE, DON'T GO TO KAUAI. It's a waste of a plane ticket. TIP: buy vouchers from Costco. We paid $400 for $500 in certificates. this is almost enough ($5 short) for 2 riders and the in-flight video which was just ok. They should upgrade the camera to capture the colors better. I'm not sure what it's like with other companies, but do not plan on sitting in the front if you are a fatty like me. I weigh in at 250 lbs and it seems that myself and other big guys (or gals) don't ride in the front. the best you could hope for is middle back on the right side. This doesn't really affect your viewing but if definitely affects your pictures (which are already weak bec of the glass windows as opposed to open doors heli) overall I was impressed by the operation they had there. nice staff, marty the pilot was very nice by trying to make sure we all get a good view and we just felt safe. but I called ahead to request the front, booked it very far in advance, asked(very nicely) when we checked in for a front seat and we didn't get it. they say the computer does calculates it but I don't buy that they cant do it if they want to.

My wife and I decided to take helicopter tour if Kauai and it was well worth it. BTW, Costco members, you can get $100 gift cards for $80 for this tour which was a big deciding factor for us. Brad, the pilot was great. Made you feel very safe and was very knowledgeable. Weather was perfect at the 2:30 flight time and we even got to go into the crater. Also, one lady in particular, Kiruu Mi Sech, who helped us book the tour, was extremely helpful and friendly. When we called, there was no one else booked for that time and she said she could put us down and call us if someone else booked so that we could go same day. Within an hour she called to say we were on! Thanks Kiruu :)

This tour was amazing, you get to see parts of Kaua'i that you can only see from the air. My husband and I were very pleased with the whole experience.

My husband and I knew the only way to see all of Kauai was by doing a helicopter tour, since you cannot visit most of the island by car or another tour. Blue Hawaiian had the best ratings and rightfully so. The staff was so great and made you feel so safe (this was our first helicopter ride). Our pilot Brad was fantastic! He was hilarious and knowledgeable and had great tips of things to do and see on the island. The views we were able to see on this tour were absolutely breathtaking. Brad took us up close to waterfalls and mountains and everything in between. A must do in Kauai and we were able to purchase our own flight video afterward.

Flew 7 am big island spectacular with Shane after getting rained out Monday for Kilauea. Worth the wait...all seats had great views and Shane made sure both sides of the heli got the views.

We booked our tour through the concierge of our hotel and were very happy with our flight. We were picked up from our hotel right on time. Jonathan was our pilot and he was very knowledgeable about the island I thought. I would say doing a helicopter flight around Oahu is a must do for any visitor to Hawaii. Beats hiring a car and driving around and getting stuck in traffic. :)

One of our top things to do on the Islands and would Not go with any other business. Blue Hawaiian is the BEST!! As a family of 7 we took up an entire helicopter and did the Big Island Spectacular .. Pricey but worth every penny. Ask for Tooshi the greatest pilot ever who made our two hour flight extremely memorable. Volcanoes,waterfalls and breathtaking scenery. Cannot thank Blue Hawaiian enough !! You must get the Dvd of the trip!!

Visited Waikiki August 6-16, 2013 and flew with Blue Hawaiian. Nice tour of basically the entire island, Diamond Head, Sacred Falls, North shore, Pearl Harbor. Lots of photo ops and the entire tour was videoed including all the conversations during. Video was for purchase after $25. Thanks to Julie for a great ride.

Ok, let me state I've been on some other helicopter rides before other places in the world. On Kauai Blue Hawaiian rocks! The views and the island itself are the most impressive I have ever seen in my life. The coastline is so beautiful. If your even thinking about taking a helicopter ride on Kauai Do It!!! It's worth the $$$ stop now and book your flight!!!

We were hesitant to spend the kind of money required for the Ecostar and do the Island Spectacular tour, but we are extremely happy we did it. The weather on the island has been iffy with a lot of overcast or rainy days while we have been here, but the day we picked to fly we had great weather and our pilot Gary made sure we got to see lava flowing from the longest active volcano in the world. He was also able to let us see into the cone of 2 of the volcanos and again we saw lava. He then flew us into a valley with the longest waterfalls I've ever seen. The helicopter is state of the art with 4 cameras recording your trip. Every seat has a good vantage point and the seats are roomier. Greg answered all our questions and taught us a lot about the island. The staff in the office were friendly and fun. We even met Stumpy the dog there. We've done 4 other helicopter tours in other places and this was definitely the best.

One of the great things about the Big Island is that it’s BIG! It’s hard to see in a week, so we opted to take a helicopter tour early in our trip to help us decide how to spend the rest of our time. Booking early also worked out well because weather didn’t cooperate the first day we booked, so we had to reschedule for the following day. Our pilot was Toshi, who did a great job of engaging everyone and describing the sites. We flew from Waikaloa and enjoyed all parts of the ride. It was amazing to see the volcano and hot lava from the air. We also enjoyed seeing the wet/green side around Hilo and north. The verdant canyons and breathtaking waterfalls north of Waipio Valley were a great way to end the fun and get a feel of real Hawaii. The helicopter ride is a bit pricey, but we were happy to get to see parts of the island we wouldn’t have been able to see other ways. High recommend.

Booked the spectacular with the landing at the falls. Bad weather cancelled that so they refunded the difference and we went up the coast in the rain. With all the rain the falls were great with tons of water coming off the cliffs into the water. Still want to see the volcanos but that will have to wait for the next trip.

My husband and I took this helicopter ride while on our honeymoon, our pilot's name is Julie she was very friendly and imformitive, it was beautiful to see all of Oahu from the sky and to learn so much about the island was really nice there was a few spots like Pearl Harbor I wish she would have turned the plane around so I could have seen it too (since she would do that for the other side when there was things they couldn't see that I could) I was sitting behind the pilot so I wonder if she forgot about me , I wish they sold sea bands or motion sickness bands or warned people they may get it because I felt like I was gonna get sick threw most of the flight was so happy when we where done, so if you get motion sick at all buy some sea bands first or bring them if you have them! One really nice thing is since it was our honeymoon we got the video of our flight free which is usually $25
