Perfect day
カウアイ - リフエ

We took the doors off tour and had an awesome time. I did take Bonine for motion sickness prior too just in case...didn't want to ruin the trip. The staff was super professional and we were impressed with their safety. They cancelled our trip two days in a roll because of weather and we appreciated them being honest as well as wanting us to get the most out of our trip. Their is no better way to see the island. Please save up and make this a priority for your trip and stick with this company! The photographs alone that I was able to capture were amazing, not to mention the peace and serenity felt while flying. I can't lie, I was pretty neverous and was thankful when we landing, but I enjoyed every moment of the flight.

Truly an amazing experience. Chris Kim was a great pilot and exceptionally knowledgeable about the island. Some of the best views of anything I have ever seen in my entire life! Thanks for a great trip!

Worth Every Penny!
カウアイ - リフエ

My wife and i visited Hawaii for the first time and this was also our first helicopter ride. It's the only way to see the beautiful island of Kauai and worth every penny! All the reviews I read in advance are right on target. We booked through our hotel excursion desk (Paradise) but you can also book direct and they honor AAA discount. Not sure what the price difference is but the excursions usually pass on discounts too. Try to pick a nice clear day will high cloud cover. A little tough to predict and make advanced reservations but the views will be better. If it's the only helicopter ride you every have--this is the one to take. Enjoy!

Pilot Marty Is The Best!
カウアイ - リフエ

Two friends and I flew with Blue Hawaiian on July 4th. We were in an eight-seat Eco-Star helicopter with Pilot Marty. There were only five of us, so one of my friends and I got to sit in the front and our other friend sat in the back next to the window. We all thoroughly enjoyed the experience of being flown over Kauai by Pilot Marty as he provided an expert narration of what we were seeing, all the while flying the helicopter and toggling the camera views for the reasonably-priced souvenir video we later purchased. Blue Hawaiian is definitely worth checking out!

What a great experience!

This was a great experience in every way. We'd been told that if there is only one thing you can do, take this tour. We did, and we are thrilled we did it. From the moment we walked in until we left, we felt we were in great hands. I have no criticism about this, as it exceeded our expectations in every way!

By far our best excursion
ビッグアイランド - ワイコロア

We woke up that morning to big rain clouds but had an early afternoon reservation so we hoped it would clear and let me tell you, it did! The reservations before us were cancelled but how lucky we were to be cleared to fly and.....see the best sites that this tour has seen in years (so we would be told after staff watched our video). Apparently, it does not rain here that often or that much. We took off with the sun shinning after a beautiful rain, matter of fact it was spitting now and then but when we flew around the coast and beside the mountains there were water falls EVERYWHERE! The sun came out and It was the most amazing site ever! The coast line, the mountains, the hills, the volcano's were all the most amazing sites ever! Of course we paid for the video. When ours showed up on the screen the ladies at the desk were amazed and said we saw the best tour in years! Those water falls were magical looking! I do have to say that we went off the beaten path because of the rains and I am so glad our pilot did! Awesome adventure that we all will never forget.

Best part of the vacation!
オアフ - ホノルル

I am extremely afraid of heights and flying.. and ended up sitting in front next to the pilot with nothing to block my view... and all I can say is it was absolutely amazing! Our pilot, Jonathon, absolutely rocked! He was very knowledgeable and took us over some incredible scenery. We even saw a family of whales jumping through the water! They were also very concerned about safety - that was obvious - which made me feel MUCH more comfortable about flying! If you're going to Honolulu, I'd call Blue Hawaiian! You will not regret it!!!

The Best Way to See The Big Island
ビッグアイランド - ワイコロア

If you want to see the entire Big Island in style, do it from a Blue Hawaiian Helicopter. This was an incredible experience and one of best (if not only) ways to see lava. If the lava's up, you may get lucky at Volcanoes National Park, if it's really up ...well you probably shouldn't be in the area, but from a Heli, you can see see it all; waterfalls, Polulu, Waipio, Hilo, etc. We flew with Jason and the dude is not only a stellar pilot, he's hilarious. I highly recommend him. A great experience all around, definitely check this out if you are able and have time ...or don't have time, it's the quickest way to see it all :)

Awesome is an understatement!
ビッグアイランド - ワイコロア

My wife wanted to do the combined Big island tour. It was truly an incredible experience. We flew over the Kilauea Crater. You could see the bubbling lava and the bright red glow. What a once in a lifetime experience! We then flew to the north side of the island to see waterfalls flowing out of the valley walls. I recommend this highly.

Blue ride
カウアイ - リフエ

Very nice trip. The people there were nice and very personable. Very accommodating. The helicopter was a lot more comfortable then I expected. The ride was smooth, quiet, and temp inside the helicopter was great. The views were fantastic as was the narration by our pilot. Waterfalls everywhere. Going inside the volcano's crater was the highlight for me. The pilot came so close to the walls, you could almost reach out and touch it. Since only a small part of Kauai is accessible, this a great way to see the parts of the island that aren't. Not taking a helicopter ride would be a mistake, because you would be missing so much of this beautiful island.

Awesome views, must do this in Hawaii!
カウアイ - リフエ

I flew with Blue Hawaiian once before on the Big Island, thus when I visited Kauai, I decided to use the same vendor for my helicopter ride over the entire island. Barrett was our pilot and I flew in the 7 seat Eco Star + 1 pilot. You can sit 2 people to the left back side of the helicopter, 2 people to the right back side and 2 people up front on the right side, one pilot on the left front side. The helicopter was clean with vomit bags and very safe buckles/seat belts. I felt very secure during the safety debriefing you watch before you jump on the helicopter. Everyone was weighed on a scale, thus the company evenly distributes the weight evenly in the small helicopter. I took an antinausea pill an hour before my flight (Dramamine) as a "just in case". I don't get motion sickness very easily, but it was just as a precaution. Barrett was a great pilot and we started our flight being recorded (you can purchase a video of your flight) with the soundtrack of Hawaii 5-0! I felt like such a super cool chick flying around in a blue helicopter with the theme song of Hawaii 5-0 playing in the earphones to start my over flight journey. Made me smile! Barrett was funny, very knowledgeable about Kauai's topography and weather patterns. You can tell all their pilots were experts and have had several hours of flying under their wings. As only 10% of Kauai can be seen via driving, the other 90% can only be seen/experienced via water or air. This fight was only 55 mins-60 mins. and it wasn't too long at all. The scenes of waterfalls, canyons, ocean water, Na Pali coastline were AH-MA-ZING!!!! You can't match an aerial view of the island, pictures and postcards do not do it justice versus flying over the island in real life, in real time! I didn't get sick at all as the ride was very smooth with no turbulance. We flew over the Na Pali Coasline, Waimea Canyon (AWESOME VIEWS!), Mt. Waialeale, the highest and wettest point in Kauai in the center of the crater were beautiful and numerous waterfalls. We also saw Kipu Kai Beach, Wailua Falls, Bali Hai Mountain in Hanalei Bay (aka Puff the Magic Dragon), and the Kalalau Valley on the Na Pali coast was a great photo op area. My friends were so jealous via Facebook when I posted my aerial pics online. The staff members at BH were well trained experts. From check in, to the debriefing, to the check out...it was flawless. You can only carry on a small camera so don't bring anything else. No hats, no purses, nothing that will fly off. There are free lockers you can lock up your valuables while you're up in the air. Everything was super safe. In case of emergency water landings, you also had to wear a fanny pack of a floatation device. Again, super safe. I will definitely be back and I purchased the video of the entire journey to show my family and friends that visit. If you're on any of the islands, especially Kauai.....an aerial view of the island via Blue Hawaiian is a MUST! It wasn't that expensive either. While on holiday, it's either "Go big, or go home" philosophy! My 2 friends that went with me were from Sydney, Australia and they both LOVED, LOVED, the flight!! We deboarded our helicopter with such huge and happy grins. Thank you BH for an awesome time. I will be back and fly with you anytime!

Best activity we did in Hawaii
カウアイ - リフエ

I was scared to death to ride in a helicopter, but the pilot made it fun and les frightening. He was extremely well qualified, so I felt safe. Once my fears were put to rest, we took off and saw the island from an amazing point of view. We hovered over waterfalls, flew through canyons, and the helicopter climbed up over ridge for wonderful views of the volcanoes, mountains and ocean. Don't hesitate to go with Blue Hawaiian Helicopters. I am so glad I went. I won't forget it.

great way to see the island
カウアイ - リフエ

Let me preface this review by saying that we took a helicopter ride over Kauai 12 years ago during our honeymoon and I definitely had motion sickness by the time it was half over. (it wasn't with this company) Pilot was a war veteran and was showing off his skills. Apparently, my stomach did not fully appreciate his expertise. I thought all helicopter rides were like that. I was wrong. Blue Hawaiian Helicopter pilot, Marty, was excellent. I had no problems, no queasiness, no hint of motion sickness whatsoever. I was truly able to enjoy the sights this time around. He held the helicopter steady when lowering toward the canyons and when turning the helicopter around so people on both sides could get a great view of the the coastline, waterfalls, and canyons. A definite plus, was when they were able to squeeze all 7 of us into one helicopter. I had called other vendors, and they told me it was illegal. Being skeptical of this, I did some checking on line regarding the specifics of the helicopter. On independent websites for these helicopters, it is possible to put 6/7 passengers with one pilot, and is weight dependent. (We had two kids, and the other 5 of us run on the smaller to average size.) There is a free locker for you to store your necessities but unnecessary for the ride, i.e. wallet, hats, backpacks. Also, they do run an internet special on line if you book 5 days ahead. However, you can't stack deals. We found gift card specials at Costco on Kauai. We couldn't use both the gift cards and the internet special, so that was a downer, but still, it was a good value. Also, I would have liked to see more of the coast line and beaches. Overall, still a great way of seeing the island without doing any hiking or other strenuous activity. Another plus is the air conditioner. It does get quite cool in there, so bring a light sweater, if you get cold easily. I found it to be perfectly comfortable since I like things on the cooler side. If I were to find myself on Kauai again, I might opt for the longer tour.
