I've been on a number of helicopters, and am appreciative of a good pilot, which Barrett most certainly is. His knowledge of the island, and his nuanced humor, added greatly to the experience of flying through the simply spectacular scenery. For visitors deciding how to best spend their tourist dollars, this is tremendous value for money.

The views were spectacular. The attention to safety and enjoyment was wonderful.

We had just done the Big Island with Blue Hawaiian Helicopters, pilot Greg. That was amazing...volcanos, lava, waterfalls. The Kauai flight lost nothing by comparison, thanks to our pilot Barrett. The Grand Canyon of the Pacific was breathtaking, but possibly surpassed by the Na Pali cliffs and a descent into an extinct volcano. WOW! This is the BEST way to see Hawaii!

We did the Volcano Tour, in the A-Star with their sister company Hawaiian Helicopters. This was definitely a unique way to see the volcano, both the sea entry and the crater itself. The pilot was great - and very informative. There's no guarantee of which seats you get, but he did a great job of circling each location several times to make sure everyone got a great look. We didn't see as much lava as I was expecting, based on some of the promotional pictures and videos you see of Big Island helicopter tours, but it was still a very unique way to see the island.
