This is the way to see Kauai. Scenery you wil remember for a lifetime and a thrill that will keep you smiling. Awesome experience  from start to finish we were lucky we were seated in the front row so had a extra great view and easier taking pics. Our pilot Scott was fantastic very knowledgable and a great sense of humor. We wrestled with the cost but decided since we might not be back to go for it and we are glad we did it was worth every penny. No other way can you see these same sights. We thought maybe do the airplane tour it was half the price but it did not give you the same views lots higher up and different perspective.  On the helicopter tour you get in so close especially cool stuff like when we where inside the collapsed volcano with the waterfalls pouring down all around. Felt safe 100% of the time never one worry our pilot was in control the entire trip. If you got the cash do it if you don't save up before you go you won't be sorry.

During our vacation in Kona, we drove to the Hilo side of the Big Island specifically to take the Blue Hawaiian Helicopter tour of the volcano and waterfalls. We made reservations a day earlier and we had beautiful weather. Everyone at Blue Hawaiian was very pleasant and helpful. We got a great view of the lava fire hose where lava spews from a lava tube into the ocean. We also got a pretty good view of a couple of calderas with molten lava inside, glowing fiery red. The pilot we had seemed like a good and attentive pilot, but was only so so as a tour guide. He did an adequate job of describing what we were seeing, and of making sure that both sides of the copter got a good view of things. He did not have a constant stream of facts, which in some ways is good, but he certainly could have been more informative. It did seem that at the Hilo airport Blue Hawaiian had a fairly thin staff, so we had to wait 10 to 15 minutes at every step of the process, including buying stuff in the gift shop (aka the lounge) following our flight. All in all the trip was really fun and worth the cost.

What a fabulous experience we had this morning on the Kauai Blue Hawaiian Helicopter tour! I was a little ambivalent about taking a helicopter tour of the island as I had never flown in a helicopter before but the staff and our pilot, Brian made us feel so safe and so comfortable that the whole experience was nothing but joy! The helicopters were new and well maintained. The staff were very safety conscious and put our well being first. I cannot say enough about our pilot, Brian. He talked us through what we would see, feel and what to expect and he was exactly right! He was knowledgeable about the island, the history, and the folk lore and he clearly loves his job. He put us all at ease and we all would have loved to spend the day listening to him. Thank you Brian and Blue Hawaii for this incredible gift! This was money well spent and we will never forget the scenery we saw today. I will reply those sights until my dying day. Well worth the time and money!

Unsere Helikopter-Tour war unfassbar schön. Wir haben sie direkt über unsere Kreuzfahrtgesellschaft (Princess) gebucht, was zwar etwas teurer war, aber für unsere Zeitplanung besser geeignet. Die Tour selbst ging ca 50 Minuten und beinhaltete alle Sehenswürdigkeiten, sowie ein paar Buckelwale auf ihrem Weg entlang der Na Pali Coast. Unser Pilot Garret war große Klasse! The experience of a lifetime!

Brody, We really enjoyed our tour with you. Perfect amount of commentary and information! Though we know its likely very repetitive for you, it certainly makes for a very informative trip for us guests! I'm sure Julie has made this trip many, many times. But. She needs to make it sound like it's a new thing for the passengers. She sounded like she was bored to death. Which she probably was. Just sayin'...

Rick did a great job and we returned alive! Fantastic view of the island. Well worth the money.
