This was a wonderful experience. The staff was very professional, safety was important, our pilot (Scott G) was extremely competent and informative. The flight into the crater was amazing.

Loved the awesome views and our pilot knew so much it was like a personal history, geology and ecology lesson. Kids 5,7 and 12 loved it!

What an amazing experience, you will be so glad you took this flight! The view of the island from above it, is breath taking! Our pilot (Brian) was excellent, he added so much to our experience by sharing his love of this island! You can purchase a USB with your flight on it, so you can always remember this wonderful flight! Wear dark colors, so your clothing won't reflect off the windows and ruin your pictures!

My husband and I took the 1 hour tour out of Hilo the Circle of fire plus waterfalls tour. Such a phenomenal experience. Our pilot Ethan was so knowledgeable,friendly and made our tour 1st rate. Thank you so much for a great experience and a great sense of humour also!

Used the ecostar helicopter which provided amazing views of rain forests, north coastline and many waterfalls. Also they record video inside and out of helicopter with their own camera system and you can purchase USB of the whole trip, which we did. Pilot (Toshi) was very friendly, amusing and knowledgeable. One person got "sick" but I didn't even notice, managed well by pilot with freshener and increased air flow.

We had scheduled our helicopter flight several days before with the tour counselor at the hotel. We had even looked at the forecast to determine whether there would be a chance of bad weather. The shuttle pick-up at 5:00 a.m. was on time and the transfer and check-in at Blue Hawaiian at Hilo Airport went flawlessly. As we got to the flight line, we learned that the helicopters would be grounded since the clouds were below 1,000 ft. We had no problems with a partial refund. We'll go again the next time that we are in Hawaii.
