excellent!! awesome!! let's go again ... now

My husband and I took the 2 hour Eco Star tour of the Big Island of Hawaii. Our pilot was Toshi, who was an excellent navigator, fully knowledgable about Hawaiian culture, the Big Island and of course volcanoes! Our flight was smooth, we were comfortable, safe and secure. Toshi invited us to ask questions and make comments all while taking us over the most incredible views and adding commentary. He made extra sure that important sites were viewed by both sides of the helicopter and that there was plenty of time to take photos and get a really good look. The Big Island did not disappoint! We also toured the magnificent waterfalls on the wet side of the island. Every bit as thrilling as the volcanoes! Without a doubt seeing the lava tube spilling in the sea from a vent below Kilauea will be a lifetime memory for us. If you have to eat crackers and cheese for your whole trip to pay for this tour do it!

Tim provided us with a fantastic smooth flying tour of the waterfalls and volcano activity. the volcanic flows were better than expected especially the lava flow into the ocean! Mahalo!

Rick was an awesome pilot. Very informative and anticipated our needs well. I enjoyed a smooth flight after some concern over nausea. He answered all our questions well and helped us spot a lot of whales. The staff were all very nice and helpful! Thank you!

Me and my wife went here on 1/26. We did the Circle of Fire and waterfalls tour. It was right at a 50 minute tour I believe. Finding the location and parking at the Hilo airport were pretty easy. The staff was friendly and organized. My wife had never been on a helicopter so it was really cool for her. What really stuck out for me is the professionalism and safety that the pilot displayed. He was a good tour guide and he was a very solid pilot. I didn't feel unsafe at any point in the trip. The views were really good and not easily accessible without a helicopter. One thing to keep in mind, if you are over 200 lbs you will probably sit away from the window and I wasn't clear that there were non-window seats. It was not a big deal for me because I wanted my wife to enjoy it more and she got the window seat. Overall it's probably something you want to do at least once if you are in Hawaii and this company really has their act together.

I had flown in helicopters routinely for the Forest Service years ago, but never as a scenic tour. I booked a 40-minute tour of some of the waterfalls north of town and active volcano vents south of town. The tour was actually a full hour! Wesley, our pilot/guide was just awesome. You could tell that he loved his job, yet no hot-dogging. Very professional. Waterfalls were on private (water & power company) property, so an aerial view was the only way to see them. Hundreds of falls off of the east slope of Mauna Kea. The active chain of craters on the eastern flank of Mauna Loa were awesome, giving you a much better perspective of the vastness of the active flows. Circled some red-hot craters, then ended with an ocean fly-by of the lava outpour into the Pacific. Toured some of the residential destruction on the return flight. Very new comfortable craft, with very safety conscious staff, I would recommend it to anyone.

This was a great experience, the ride was extremely smooth, and the whole Blue Hawaiian crew did a great job in making us feel welcome and that safety was a top priority. I would recommend this group, and that you invest in the experience of flying over the beautiful island of Kauai!

We highly recommend taking the best tour with Blue Hawaiian Helicopters! We experienced the very best views of the incredibly beautiful island of Kauai and learned so many fun facts. It was my very first helicopter ride and would absolutely go again. I was pleasantly surprised to not need anything for motion sickness because the helicopter ride was so smooth from takeoff to landing, thanks to Elizabeth our awesome pilot. Best time!

We took off for our tour but had to turn back because of High winds. We made it as far as Jurassic Falls. Mildly annoying person in front of me did not go by the suggestion to dress in dark colors. Most of my pictures included a reflection of him in the window.

Our pilot was "GO" This tour was amazing, the best thing you could ever do on this island, the pilot is lovely, with really extended knowledge of the island. he have answered all the questions. The music he played was really touching while flighting and views it self was breath taking. If i could i will do it again. Never had a better experience in my life.
